The installation instructions are good and it's a snap to put in
Used this on my French door replacement a few weeks ago, this makes keeping water out of your house a sure thing if you install it correctly. The installation instructions are good and it's a snap to put in. I don't know why you wouldn't use one honestly. Whoever installed the French patio doors on my house originally didn't use a door sill, nor did they use any kind of flashing around the doorway and I had to replace some of the wood because water got in and ruined it. This is definitely worth the money.

Maybe lower the price on this.
Easy to set up and use. Great product, but super expensive for what it is. Also why don’t Home Depot or Lowe’s sell these? That’s where I bought my door, yet no pan flashing available in store.

Poor value
they got a lot wrong with their orders, had 2 orders the same day and hour, the second order got on time, but in a huge box that could have contained 30 of the same product. the first order arrived 2 days after promised and could not use as the contractor had already installed doors without pan sill

Does what it's supposed to do but WAY overpriced
Value for money: 0 starsEase of install: 5 starsTime to make my own sure sill and create some competition for these guys - the price is overblown for a simple plastic mold.

Fit my application.
Pricey , but easier to do for me as I needed this for over a concrete sill for an Andersen sliding door. Flashing tape does not work well with concrete in my experience. I called tech support about sealing underneath the jamsill , between the concrete and the Jamsill. They suggested a couple of beads of silicone . My call was answered immediately and they knew exactly what I was doing and how to address my question. Be aware they provide the PVC adhesive but I also used a cleaner before applying it. Tape the joints temporarily for ten minutes. Another bead of silicone across the back side and slide the frame in place and you are done down there.

I purchased this product for a window in a 2x4 ...
I purchased this product for a window in a 2x4 wall. Either I misunderstood the use of this product (it does say for door or window sills), or they do not offer the right size for a 2x4 wall. Size offerings are 4 9/16" and 6 9/16 (not 3 1/2" which is what I need). I ordered the 4 9/16" size, thinking that maybe they were referring to another dimension, and assumed that the 2 sizes they offered would cover a 2x4 wall and a 2x6 wall. The 4 9/16 is the actual product depth, which is way too wide for my 2x4 window sill, and I would either have to cut the Jamsill and make a new bend on the edge inside the sill with a heat gun to reshape it, or return it. Apparently this company does not offer a sill pan for a 3.5" deep window sill for 2x4 walls?Added comment 7/07/17: Jamsill customer service verified that for standard vinyl window installation in a 2x4 wall, the 1 7/8" Jamsill product should be used. Amazon does not offer this size, and it needs to be ordered direct from Jamsill. The 1 7/8" Jamsill rear flange will tuck up against the inside vinyl window frame, and the interior window sill wood trim butts up against the Jamsill, hiding it. The products offered by Amazon do not work if you have 2x4 walls and are using standard vinyl windows. They are for door jambs or for thicker wood framed windows.I will also add that this product is way overpriced for what you get, as others have said. Although this will not work for my application, I found the exact same product at my local builder supply and lumber store for $23. This Amazon seller is overpricing the product. I would guess you could buy it direct from Jamsill for much less as well, or at least ask them for the name of local distributors who are not trying to gouge the customer.

Easy to use
This sill was easy to install. We leveled the cement floor before installation, applied concrete cement under the sill, and then installed the door. It works great to keep the water out of our home.
