I was hoping this would sit beside me at my desk and keep me cool as I work in my scorching flat, but it's just a bit rubbish. You have to basically be on top of it for it to feel it. I've got rid of it.

Zaahn Ultra Chill personal cooler and humidifier is a fantastic product!I started using this straight away as soon as it arrived on Saturday (which was very timely it being very hot that day). I read the easy to follow instructions and started of by filling up the compartment with water and turned on the fan/mist options which was very straight forward. It did the trick of cooling me down and the gentle mist was a nice touch. My son also tried it and placed it on his desk whilst he was doing some work on his laptop and he also felt much cooler and comfortable and found the LED reading light a bonus too.It is very light and quick to set up which makes it a great portable product. There are two great features which I think are amazing 1) LED light - Perfect for scenarios when your working on laptop and placing it on your desk or reading a book for which you can place it on your bedside table! The product is not that big so it won’t take up much space. 2) There is a bit where you can soak the sponge part of the compartment with essential oils and it really made the room smell nice! So you had the great combination of your surroundings smelling nice and feeling cooler. My husband and children suffer from asthma and allergies so knowing the product acts as a humidifier aswell is very handy!I certainly will be using this product all the time during the summer months and also during the other seasons as it really makes your surroundings smell nice and fresh - I will be also taking this with me on my summer travels in the UK and trips to the park. You can’t go wrong with the price either and I think it is worth every penny. 5 stars for this product all the way!

Like everything about this product, nothing to dislike. Works well if needed while working at a desk, or in the bedroom if placed on a bedside table. Like the torch as a extra. Quick and easy to charge and if necessary will carry on working overnight to keep you cool.

Received the Ultra Chill yesterday afternoon and opened it this morning. Read instructions and set up unit, it worked fine for its compact size and I left it running for awhile then switched off. Went to use it again at 1pm and it started fine then switched itself off. Fan and mister refused to start. Mood light was working for a while then it also stopped. I used USB charger and unit acted as described in User's guide. After a few seconds light went out so supposedly fully charged. Unit started up again and turned itself off. Very disappointing to find it is obviously faulty. Also no second water sponge enclosed as stated in guide. Can't speak to Thane on phone for possible reason as the number on User's guide gives an automated message referring you to their own website and email contact. Too hot for all this messing around so contacted Amazon and started return.

well made as good as they say

I bought this to use in my home office. This is a clever little fan with a cooling misting function ideal for what I wanted but could be used in lots of other situations. It saves wasting energy trying to cool the whole room or having a fan which just blasts warm air. It has 3 speeds and is quiet for a fan. At first it doesn't seem very powerful but it soon starts to cool and gave my wife goosebumps after just a couple of minutes.It's very light and easily portable as it has a rechargeable battery. Takes up hardly any space on your desk. I haven't used the optional LED reading light but it could be useful for some tasks.

Purchased to cool during the heatwave but it really does not. Air is a little cool at best, certainly not chilled and unless you are very close to the device you don’t even feel it. Images on box of cooling a room are way off the mark. The ‘mist’ feature is quite nice hence 2 stars not 1. Not worth £40, max £10 for the gimmick appeal. Disappointed.
