Purchased this for my fiancé’s work locker. It works great and the pink color stands out helping her to locate her locker easily. So far it is holding up well.

The first thing I noticed is these locks do not lock smoothly. It feels like something inside the lock mechanism has too much resistance, so I have to push harder than expected to close the lock, and then it closes abruptly with two loud clicks. Alternatively, I found I can turn the key while closing the lock and it closes easily with no resistance. This reminds me of how an old padlock becomes when it needs to be lubricated, but these are brand new! I purchased the 4-pack, so I tested all 4 locks and they were all the same. Perhaps this is how they are supposed to perform, but it concerns me because I plan to use these locks outdoors, so if they are difficult to lock when they are brand new, how are they going to perform after they have been exposed to the weather for a couple years?The 4-pack is inexpensive, so a good value for the money, so long as they last. They are the right size for my application and they are advertised for outdoor use. Master Locks are a well known brand with a reputation for quality. I guess time will tell whether they are durable. I will post an update if I have problems with these locks in the future.

Great lock to use. I use for a locker at work. People where I work go into your stuff in a refrigerator so I have to keep stuff locked up.

Any determined thief will be able to get through any commercial padlock. But deterring savvy thieves isn't really what a padlock is for.They say that locks only exist to keep honest men honest- and there's some truth to that. But for my former neighbor who wanted to let himself into my back yard all of the time, under the pretext of being "neighborly"- a padlock became basically a punctuation mark on a no-tresspassing sign. And while he had been psychotic enough to invite himself into my yard to borrow my rake or shovel or whatever, he proved to be sane enough to not cut a padlock once I got one.It wasn't this lock that saved me from my crazy neighbor. That one was cheap and couldn't handle the weather.This one has been totally solid over the past several months. Yes, somebody could easily grind it off or pick it- but that's not the point of the thing. It's a statement- "beyond here, this property will be defended."So as far as reviews go- I've had these out in the weather for months and they've been great. The keys all work and there is no sign of degradation.
