My WeighiBalance 5500 Table Top Precision Scale (Pack) (UNT)

I love this scale. It is 0.1 gram resolution and a 5.5 kg max weight. That 5.5 kg is large enough that you can put large things like a heavy pan on the scale. One nit: The on/off button on the newer version is a tad slow to respond. You have to press and hold it for a little while. (The old one was better.) The tare function works with positive and negative values, i.e. you can put a container of flour on the scale,press tare, than take out flour and show how much you have removed. It has a zillion units: grams, ounces, pounds, and many more. There is also a parts counting mode that I've never used. It seems well made and sturdy. The top is removable and can be washed. (But I wouldn't put it in the dishwasher.) It will work on batteries, if needed.

When looking and researching for a fairly priced scale, this is the one that I chose. I own two of these (for different locations)and I think they work well and are compact enough to carry and store. They are also easy to use. I would definitely recommend this scale.

We use it for measurement in the lab, so far it is working good, and I chose this one actually because of the 30 years manufacturer warranty..

I work full time in a chemistry lab and I only wish our balances were as good as this one. The only difference is that this scale will take much more weight while the balances at work are for smaller amounts. I bought this one for cooking at home so I can follow the expert baker's recipes exactly. To test a balance you take a weight on each of the four corners and on this one they are all exactly the same. I took a pill bottle and weighed it on a calibrated balance at work. It was 14.56 grams. I put it on this balance and it weighed either 14.5 or 14.6, obviously it was right on the edge and a challenge for this balance to start with. Then I put a 3.8 pound glass bowl on the balance, tared it, and put in my pill bottle. Still 14.6 grams! I can tare the balance, put on the heavy glass bowl full of fruit and not overload the balance, then take it off and within a second it goes back to zero and stays put. Almost unbelievable. This is really a high quality balance.

Will not operate with a/c adapter. Not sure if it is the adapter or the connection point. Thankfully it works fine with batteries.Other than that it operates and weighs just fine. I use it for grams and pounds. Easy to clean

Great scale. I love that it has 5 kg capacity so i can weigh both small and medium packages. I was tired of going between my i1200 and the Pelouze floor scale for packages that were just a few pounds. This one covers most of my shipping needs aside from large boxes, and it works great for counting small items by weight (I do a lot of bulk re-packaging of small items).My primary concern was whether it would weigh very small items as accurately as the lower-capacity i1200 that is not much different in price. So, I did some experiments comparing the two to see if they differed... I weighed a variety of items from a quarter-gram up to a pound (the limit of the i1200). They both displayed exactly the same weights for every single item (although that seems statistically unlikely, even for high quality scales, it's actually true). So... it appears that you do not pay a small-item precision penalty by stepping up the capacity with the 5500.If you're trying to decide between this scale and one with a lower capacity, I say get this one... it still weighs small items just as well as the lighter duty scales, yet it can handle packages up to 12 pounds.

I am extremely disappointed. Got this scale today excited to start formulating and it won't power on. Looks dinged up a little. The box was taped so I don't know if this was returned but I expect to get a brand new item when I order. I just had to pay for another one because I need this ASAP and won't even get my money back for a week because there was no exchange option. All in all, I'm upset about this but I'm giving it another shot. Please give me a new working scale!!!!

This little scale is great, its very fast and very accurate, Leveling the scale is easy and it seems durable. It was well packaged and arrived on time. I used this scale to Balance my rods and pistons down to .1 grams, my truck is gonna purr like a kitten because of this scale. No complaints.

Great product, no problems.

Ordered this scale and unfortunately we didn't put it to use for a month or so from the date of receiving it. We used it a whole 2 times before it broke down. It was kept in perfect condition and was not tampered with at all.When you turn it on, it counts down from 10 then it goes blank and doesn't display any readings.I reached out to the seller and they said theres nothing they can do since it's passed the allotted return period. I understand we didn't use it for a few weeks, but really? Theres nothing you can do about selling us a faulty scale?Stay away from this product.

The feet of the scale are hard plastic and the buttons are hard to press, so it doesn't stay in place on the kitchen counter. The scale needs to be calibrated and calibration weights are expensive.I don't recommend this product for use as a kitchen scale.
