The Scanner Radio Mini Magnet Mount Mobile Scanner Antenna is a high-performance antenna designed for scanners and scanning receivers, featuring a wide frequency range of 25-1200MHz. It's a male SMA connector
Many people including me want to know if the connector is SMA male or female and yet looking at the FAQ you get mixed answers. It is indeed male SMA and NOT RP-SMA (Reverse Polarity) either. See photo.I have two of these antennas. The first I bought about three years ago and now this one I bought on October 3rd 2023. The first antenna is on my car and it works pretty decent. The second antenna is outside and it too works pretty decent. Having said that, I don't think it's worth a massive $40 bucks that I paid for both. I mean, the parts cost have to be no more than $10 if that. Should be a $25 dollar antenna if you ask me. But marketing is marketing...

BEST ANTENNA I HAVE USED
I have used over a dozen scanner antennas over the past two years. I have this mounted outside on my roof. I have it attached to the horizontal metal bar of my tv antenna which is on my two story house. I also have a DSD omni x on the opposite of the house. The omnix which is a top rated antenna works good but has some issues on VHF 155 mhz band. This procomm antenna picks up the one dept i was having issues picking up. They are on 154 mhz and are 35 miles south of my location. I ran RG6 coax and have it feed with a channel master amp. The signal which used to occasionally come in is now blasting in at -40 rssi with full 5 bars signal on my SDS100. This is the second one of these antennas i have purchased. The magnet is strong and the antenna is small. IT is only like 17 inches tall and you can not even notice it on the roof. For the size of this antenna it is by far the best i have ever used. I might even pick up a spare just in case.

Great magnet, works well.
Get antenna for flat and slightly hilly terrain. I live in a very hilly area and the signal drops out in the valleys. If your area is fairly flat this antenna is as good as it gets for a mag mount.

I've tried a handful of antennas, and so far this one works the best for me.
UPDATE - From four stars to five. Last week I did some re-arranging and WOW! Signals are sooo much better. VHF, 800mhz, digital, analog, all come in equally well. This picks up the 800mhz digital stuff MUCH better than the one on ebay that is designed for that purpose. Not only that, it picks up the old 7xxmhz off the nearest repeater (10-15 miles as the crow flies?).Unfortunately my Ram Mount lost hold last night, and the antenna cord pulled up of the connector. I will be ordering another one of these and attempting to repair it in the meantime. I just don't look forward to trying to repair it while the cable hangs from my dash - or snaking the cable through my headliner again.ORIGINAL REVIEW- I am using this with my Uniden Homepatrol 1. The build quality seems fair enough - no problems for me. Magnet is not as strong as other reviews led me to believe, but it is strong enough. The magnet also has a thin non-scratch protective piece attached (adhesive?) to it. I don't want to drill any holes in my roof. I ran the cable through my third brake light housing at the back of the cab, above the headliner, and to the home patrol mounted by my rear view mirror. I cannot tell yet, but this antenna doesn't seem to have any better reception than the $14 "t-shaped" interior glass mount one it replaced. Time will tell and I will update my review accordingly. One nice plus is it is on my roof instead of mounted by my dashlight taking up precious windshield viewing room.

Just not what I hoped for...
I have used this antenna for several weeks now and I just don believe it is doing the job. I put my original rubber ducky antenna back on the scanner the other day and the reception seemed better. The wire at the connector that goes into the top of the scanner has already frayed and I need to tape it together. Not sure if that is causing me any loss of signal. I would love to say that I spent my money well on this antenna but I just can't do that. I still have to be in the immediate area to pick up most stations and even then it is hit or miss. I would maybe spend a little more money and buy a better antenna if I were you.

digital grabber
The media could not be loaded. I have this on my old scanner that does analog and digital, it screwed on the top no problem, the magnet stuck right to my curtain rod excellently, the wire was long enough no problem and this thing pulled in tuns of digital signals. I think its worth the 32 bucks. I know this is not much of a video, but radio listening is just that, listening not seeing. this was the first scan I did of the main bank I normally used this thing works quite well and you can hear it for yourself. I would normally get 1 or 2 digital frequencies, maybe 3 at the most, today I've heard quite more than that. this is worth it I think.I just got this product today, march 24 2022 on Thursday. how it will hold up over time I don't know. but right now out of the box its excellent, time will tell how long it'll hold up.

Stops working after 4 months
Second time I purchased this product after the first one stopped working after 3 months. Well here we are 4 months later and this one stopped working also. Worked fine for the first three months then just stops picking up any frequencies. Switch to another antenna it the scanner works fine. DO NOT PURCHASE

Pas plus que ça
Je pense que si cette antenne avais un cable RG8 elle serait meilleure car le cable qui viens avec et trop petit je ne la recommande pas du tout .
