I bought another one as a gift, and it was pretty small. This one is of a more traditional size, and it also has a nice design on top. It works great for taking communion to someone.

If you are in need of a pix, this is well made and very nice, with a reliable latch.

I'm a eucharistic minister at my church and I wanted to have my own pyx when I take communion to the sick. I found the design on the pyx to be very beautiful. It is the perfect size for the Host.

This pix closes very tightly. The edge is a sharp but easy to avoid touching. Very nice size for several hosts and the top design is different from most pix this size so I can distinguish it from others in the tabernacle or on the altar. Very reasonable price.

I knew that this was a pyx when I bought it, but it's been about a year since I've used one, so I forgot how small they are. Luckily, my pills are smaller than I remember, too, so I had no issue pouring my entire prescription into it (I'm using it as a pillbox). It's slightly larger than a Eucharistic host- if you don't know how small (or large, depending on your worldview) one is, stick out your thumb. They're about as big as one. I'm amazed at how beautiful this is, and there's no markings on it to distract from the beauty. Very pleased!

I absolutely love this pix... but sadly is too small for the host at my church. Indeed beautiful quality and well made but make sure that the host that you are transporting will fit
