Get it.
Outstanding product. I bought it based upon reviews here on Amazon. Here's my take. Fits a bit big, but roomy in a good way. The back is made of a weave that lets out heat. It really works. It's made in Egypt, where they grow some of the world's best cotton and where it's Africa hot (being in Africa and all), so they know a thing or two about keeping cool. This shirt did not disappoint.

Almost an O.K. jacket.
I'm a pretty big guy, I ordered an XL. but the fit of the jacket is strange. I suppose if you like it a bit baggy in certain areas, then it could work for you. It just feels huge, and I am not small. I prefer a snugger fit in the waist area, but this seems to be designed for a pear shaped plump dude. If tat's you, it's all good, this will work for you. Also, the buttons are a bit hard to get on and off. Maybe they will loosen over time but they feel very cheap and about to rip off at any moment. Plus, chef coats are meant to be removable quickly, thus the common knotted fabric buttons on many coats. Maybe the poor stitching is meant to be able to get ripped off, idk. I get this is a lower cost coat, but it still feels too cheap. For an item like a chef coat that gets some abuse in the kitchen, they should have a minimum quality standard. I have bought from chefworks before and liked their products, however this one is a big fail.

Roomy and cool
Pretty happy with this coat. It's super roomy, so if you want it more tapered go from a 2X to a XL. I'm 6'6" 275 and it's a perfect fit @2xl . The vented back serves well cooking in a commercial kitchen with large hot equipment. When you sweat, the coat hides it well, but be careful with white kitchen towels. They will leave whites balls all over.

This is a wonderful shirt.
This is a wonderful shirt.. It fit true to size. It is very lightweight while looking professional. I bought these for my adult son, who is a chef, but sweats in the kitchen due to the heat. These are thin enough, that a t-shirt would not bother you. The material is not see though, however is breathable. My son hated the whites he had to wear in the kitchen at school. I believe these work very well for him. I would order again many times.

Great coat at a good price
Great chef's coat for the money. I'm a home cook who doesn't need a super-fancy jacket that will survive the daily grind of a professional kitchen. I just wanted something light weight that will keep me clean while I cook and this coat certainly fits the bill. The mesh on the shoulders almost makes me forget I'm even wearing it and the sleeve pockets work great for my thermometer or a pen. I went with the black shirt since I tend to be clumsy and I'm sure I would have constant reminders of tomato stains if I went with a white coat. It fits true to size, would buy this coat again.

Ignore the size chart. These coats have nothing to do with the sizes 0 - 8. Normal men's sizes seem to be correct.
Nice chef coat. To address the size chart...it means nothing. These appear to be normal men's sizes. I got a large and it is probably a size too big but I like the fact that I can move freely in it. The mesh back is not see through but appears that it will help with hot kitchen situations.

Decent Fit, Chest is True to Size Chart. Good Value for the Price.
The Jacket fit is decent and provides a little room but not too much. It would be great if the shoulders were a little slimmer and if there was some tapering from chest to waist. The material used for the jacket is a thinner material vs the big heavy thick chef coats. Overall the quality is nice and the sleeve length is just right. I gave it 4 stars because of its slightly wide shoulders, lack of tapering, and collar. I wish the collar was just a little higher so my apron does rub on my neck. I'm going to wash it and I'll update you on the fit after washing/Drying.Dear Chef Works, please add vents in the underarm on your next design.

It is light enough to where she doesn't feel like she is suffocating as chef coats can make you ...
This was bought as a gift for someone who works in a hot kitchen all day. She likes the breathability of the back panel of the the coat. It is light enough to where she doesn't feel like she is suffocating as chef coats can make you feel that way. It does not get in the way and she doesn't ahve to worry about it while working. I bought a second one as a gift.

Perfect for hot kitchens. Loose fitting. Previously purchased this jacket 2 years ago and is still smart and intact.

Small sizing
Lovely jacket, but super super small, no way was the xxl going to fit my 17 stone chef hubby ..... pushed to fit over his leg! Go 3 sizes up seriously
