I use these when I give myself a perm. I can’t afford to go to a professional so use these. Been doing perms for as long as I came remember to myself.

I am not a dexterous person. I can do the top of my head, and some at the sides, but not the back. I am glad I got someone to help me finish the whole head. One thing about these rods is that you have to make sure how you put them on. If you got them "wrong", the rods won't hold the hair in place. I liked the curls a lot when I removed the rods after my hair was permed. However, after washing my hairs, a lot of curls were gone. I am guessing it was because of the home perm lotions didn't really curl my hair well enough. And two blue rods cannot ben "open". I finally "open" them, but I don't want to risk putting them on my hair and won't be able to remove them.

They're easy to use. The only fault I see is there is an odd mix of sizes. It's fine for what I need it for but I think if you're trying a whole head of hair this pack will not work if you're wanting mostly the same size.

Used these rods to give my teenager an at-home perm. I had never done a perm before. The rods were easy to use. We used a few different sizes to give the perm a more natural look. The results were great. We will definitely use these rods again. Also, we did overnight test curls without any chemicals, and these rods produced nice curls, as well.

These got the job done. Some came with some defects and those were the first to break. Some were super hard to put in and remove but not all. We had enough to work with. The main reason I purchased was for the price and I think it worked fine. If not for the defects on some I would give 5 stars.
