This Makes Me Happy: Dealing with Feelings (Rodale Kids Curious Readers/Level 2)

I bought this specifically because the child has a nut allergy, like my 6 year old. Most of the book went by before it got to the page she couldn't eat the treats others could at a bake sale. Her teacher says that's ok, there are other ways we can help, and instant seemed the girl cheered up, thinking of the fun she had had that day.While the illustrations were good, I would have LOVED another page, something like, sure, I can't have THOSE treats, but there are others I can have, and even without treats I had fun! Then, list her fun things she did.I get that this is a childs book, but food allergy kids have to grow up a little faster, and WILL wonder at the abrupt inclusion and dismissal of an allergy.All in all a good book, but could have been better with just a small addition!
