Great Story
All of my students, from 1st to 3rd grade enjoyed this story. They liked the colorful illustrations and the catchy rhymes. From a teacher's standpoint, there are many teachable moments that can be derived from this story. My own children have asked for repeated readings of Joey. Don't hesitate to purchase this cute children's book.

A must read for every Preschooler!
Little Joey Kangaroo was getting ready for the first day of school, he was so excited! He woke up, ate breakfast, washed up and began getting dressed when he realized he had lost his shoes. Oh No! Fearing he would be in trouble he began his search for shoes but he must hurry! This is an adorable book filled with so many lessons. While learning about personal responsibility and accountability regarding your belongings the Author and Joey Kangaroo hop you through the ABC’s in a very fun way.The alphabet letters are large and colored so that they stand out and children are able to point them out as each page turns. The book is great for reading to young children and elementary aged kids. The story is a little longer taking roughly 10 minutes to read through without any interaction, only words. If reading with child and using animated reading and fun playtime like interaction the book could take up to 20-30 minutes to read.I highly recommend this book as it is fun and filled with character lessons as well as educational lessons. The illustrations are fun and colorful as well.

Great Read!
My Review: It was Joey Kangaroo's first day of school and he can't find his new shoes. He set off on a journey to find them without telling his mom. On his way he stopped to ask Mouse, the pigs, Ewes, wise Goose and later remembered he must have left them at Duck's house. On his way home he was wondering whether to tell his mom the truth or lie. Illustration by Sunny Colaneri helps tell the story.Parents will enjoy reading this book to their children while they learn about the alphabet and about being honest. Great lesson for every child!Disclaimer: As per FTC guidelines, I received a copy of this book from the author in exchange for my honest review. I received no monetary compensation. All opinions expressed here are mine and mine alone.

Amazing Illustrations, however...
The books has really good pictures which makes it a really interesting children picture book. The story and the overall writing was a bit on par with what I imagine a 6 year old would write if English was not taught in school and they blindly led themselves to the writing of a story. If your child has an artistic side this is a really good book as a picture book. But from a reading standpoint you'd be better served looking elsewhere for beginner level books that your child would enjoy reading that don't seem like a forced sesame street episode, the text in this book might actually be lifted directly from such an episode it feels like it only took the author a couple of hours tops to just scribble it down.

Great addition to family library
This book became a fast favorite at our house because it works for so many ages. It is not too advanced for my toddler because of she can help to spot the alphabet throughout and that keeps her entertained. My 2nd grader loves to pick out the rhyming words and my 5th grader is still challeneged by the new vocabulary words. It's hard to find a book that meets the interests of all my kids at one time but this book did it! I actually looked to find other ones like it thinking it may be a series but have been unsuccessful.
