Should have done this a long time ago. Not too hard to do with the right tools. Instructions were ok could have been a little better. Missing one machine screw. I will have to go to a hardware store to get it and match it up with the correct thread. Now no more opening for bees or rodents to access the cord door. The cord on the pop up used to get tangled and stuck, won’t happen anymore.

My husband and I were tired of fishing our electrical cord through our RV's "mouse hole" so we decided to purchase the Marinco 30 Amp Detachable Power Conversion Kit. The kit was a bit on the pricey side, but after completing the conversion, we feel it was well worth the cost.The kit is very easy to install. Wiring the new plug and receptacle is a cinch with the colour coded terminals that match the RV cord's wires. There's no waste with this kit either, because once you cut your wire to change out the mouse hole for the detachable plug-in, you use the remainder of the cord to create the new detachable extension cord which locks nicely into the new RV plug-in. We no longer have to struggle with tangled power cords through a flimsy plastic slot ... and ... We don't have to worry about bugs or mice getting into the trailer at the power cord hole.This is a good quality product which, we think, will stand the test of time.The FREE delivery from Amazon.ca within 5 days of the purchase also gets our two thumbs up.

Bought this to replace my RV power cable that snakes into the RV. I wanted to prevent mice from getting in, so I went with this solution. Easy enough to install. The quality could be a bit better. Looks kind of cheap, but it does work.

I bought this to convert my camper trailer to a more manageable cord. Pulling the cored in and out the little hole has its moments. This kit came with everything you need to convert to an external cord. There are several cover plates to choose from. It had one that matched to the big hole I had and accommodated to the rest of the installation.The instructions were easy to follow. It is a bit pricey and you will need to buy some silicone to seal cover plate to side of trailer.

Perfect for closing up the hole where the cable comes through on a camper, eliminating the easy access for rodents.All the parts were included and very straight forward if you have a basic knowledge of electrical.Only thing that I suggest is getting some butyl tape and put it between the ring and camper wall. It wasn’t included but neither did I expect it to be.Don’t understand some of the poor ratings given.Highly recommend this product.
