Arena Alupro Stirrup

I absolutely love these stirrups. Such a beautiful color, and they look even nicer when the sun hits them. These are very safe. If there was an accident you foot would be able to slip out and get stuck, but while you’re riding it is secure. In my photo, they’re dirty from riding xc, but clean so easily with a damp towel/cloth. These arrive within a couple days!

My previous stirrups were very flexible on the side, which at the time I thought was great. When I switched to these I thought they felt weird at first, but then realized how much more stable I was in the tack! Especially at the canter- my lower leg felt much more secure. I luckily haven't had an opportunity to test them out with a fall, but I feel safer in them, especially now that I am starting to jump. The metal tread was a turn off at first and I was worried it would scratch my saddle (it hasn't). They do collect some arena dirt but I find the brush on my hoof pick is perfect and it just takes a few seconds to clean them off before putting my tack away. Overall super happy. I got them in blue, which is a beautiful contrast on my black horse.

I wasn't sure if these would be as solid as my MDC sturups that I love but they are working out nicely. Not as heavy but just enough weight to keep my heel down and feel secure. Definitely recommend.

These stirrups are extremely dangerous and they should be recalled from the marketplace asap. I was wearing these stirrups just two days when I was un seated from my horse during a jumping exercise. The safety releases on the side of these stirrups SLICED MY BOOTS IN HALF during my fall - and I was wearing very thick leather all terrain brand new riding boots. There were two trainers in the ring at the time that witnessed this happen. The stirrups literally sliced my thick leather boots in half all the way down to my skin. If I had been wearing ankle paddock boots with half chaps or anything else, the tendons in my ankles would have been severed like spaghetti. I really hope the manufacturer gets a hold of me after they see this review, because I am in shock and terrified that stirrups have the ability to slice your legs open in the event you are unseated.

I spent several months agonizing over which stirrup was the best for me, 40s returning to riding after a 10 year hiatus, who bought an OTTB. I ultimately picked the acavallo because of the safety features #1, the style, the medium weight, and the price. I picked the titanium color in case I ever decided to take a trip in the hunter ring ( I think it will pass color wise) They were at my door in three days and so far, I love them.

Classy looking stylish stirrups, open to release foot in a fall and ride beautifully with wide foot plate and grippers that kept your feet in place, many colours but the brown ones bath my Havana saddle - really chuffed
