My experience has been nothing but excellent, and I'm giving five stars
This review covers the GG Live I purchased from Amazon on 1/7/2017, and the associated app for my iPhone 6S+. That app lists a version # of 2.2.1 (1223), and the device has firmware 7.0.3.11, visible when the device is paired with the app. I mention all this because such products evolve rapidly, and some of the negative reviews I've read for GG Live are clearly stale. My experience has been nothing but excellent, and I'm giving five stars, even though I have only one round of golf under my belt. I'll update periodically to keep things fresh as possible. Some initial comments:(1) I followed the minimal written instructions that came in the package, which direct you to download the app and follow its instructions to set things up. Bluetooth pairing happened automatically when I turned on the device with the app running. No need to go to the Settings Menu on the IPhone to initiate pairing. The device firmware updated automatically in about 30 seconds. I stepped outside so the GPS could link up, and that happened in about a minute.(2) The app takes you through installing the tags on each club, and identifying your specific brand for each club. My Ping Karsten Irons were listed in the database of clubs the app knew about, and I was even able to change the 4 and 5 “Irons” to “Hybrids” just to make things accurate. Same thing for my Ping Driver and 3 Wood, and my TaylorMade Rosaa putter. All this took about 30 minutes, and it went smoothly.(3) I hit the “Play Golf” Icon at the bottom of the app screen, and it automatically brought up the nearest golf course to my home, where I was at the time. I scrolled down to another course that I had a tee time for the next day, and selected it, and selected the tees I would be using. The app took me to an aerial view of the first hole, and displayed the proper length from my selected tee to the flag. One feature I immediately liked was the ability to place my finger anywhere on the aerial view, and a magnifying glass came up just off my finger tip, and listed the distance from the tee, and the distance to the flag, from that spot. Very handy.(4) When I arrived at the golf course the next day to play a round, I turned the device on and opened the app. It remembered everything I had done the previous day at home. I played the round, and the device worked perfectly, the app worked perfectly, but the golfer made many rookie mistakes, aside from playing a rather miserable round of golf. Yes, in the heat of battle I forgot to tag about 30% of my tee and fairway shots, but the device detected a hit with an unknown club, even if I failed to tag. After the round, it was easy to enter the clubs I used. Each putt should be tagged, too, and they are not detected, but you can enter extra shots during the review session. I would have liked to be able to tag the location of the flag on the green, and perhaps there’s a way to do this, but I haven’t found it. You can move the flag in the app, but you must take the phone out of your pocket on every green to do so.(5) I do have an issue with the belt clip, which is not very secure. On the 13th hole I went to tag and the device was gone from my belt! I panicked, but found the device in the cart. I have now added a string with a safety pin to the device so this doesn’t happen again. I almost removed a star for this, but it was my fault.(6) After the round, I corrected everything from the app, and “signed” the scorecard, The app showed “Insights” about your shots (distance and direction). You can filter for the course you played, how many rounds to look at, types of shots, etc. Too extensive to discuss here, but very flexible and useful for me.I look forward to my next round. I’ll get better at remembering to tag, and I’ll update this review as I gain experience with using GG Live...

A must have if you want to know your golf stat.
Great tool for your golf game, live upload is a great function.I agree taggging can be an issue but it can be worked into the preshot routine. My problem is more of tagging too many times(for now). It gives you a couple of short buzzes to let you know you tagged it. For. The most part you don't have to look at the unit which clipped on to the belt, and it stays out of the way in all situations. I did move the location from toward the front to the side to avoid accidental tagging especially with longer clubs like driver or fairway woods.Love the way you can review your round and see how you did. The gps seems accurate as it gives you, for example, the green data, front middle and back distance. I'm using the range finder with slope function and the number given is quite accurate. I've not had the issue with battery life yet but so far I've just used it one round at a time. The info are pretty usefulOff the tee-fairway hit and gir(par 3s) as well as distance and club usedApproach shots-green hitsScoring- how many birdies, pars, bogeys, etc.Scramble-if your shots land near the greens or in the bunkers how do you scramble to save the holes for pars or birdies;)Compare- it also compares your game with scratch golfer, 5 hdcp, 10hdcp, 15hdcp, etc. stroke gain would let you know how you are doing against the avg players in your scoring range and the area that you could improve to get to the next level.I've used the golf stats apps before, they are expensive(monthly subscription) but more importantly, annoying to use as you have to provide all of the info while you are playing. game golf live does that seamlessly just by tagging. I play smarter shots because I know it goes to my shot data, by just doing that I dropped 2-3 strokes per round since I started using it.Small learning curve usually things that happens before the first shot of the round. You have toTurn on the unitPair the unit with your phone via BluetoothSelect the course and the tees you are playing then start the roundTag your first drive, I missed this twice.Kudos:Easy to useIt automatically keeps your score.Stay out of the way and let you focus on the roundLoads of data you can enjoy after the rounds as well as sharing your round with othersFix the shot tagging liveComes with 18 NFC pins plenty of extra for all of your active clubsRecords every shots so far, No miss. You check out other players who plays the course and how they do, it gives you fresh look at how they do it.Apple Watch user: it launches the apps automatically, although it drains battery so fast, I started with 97% and by the time I'm done with my round I'm in red at 17%I wish theyAllow pin placement tagging- this would provide precise approch to the green accuracy as well as putting.Separate full shot and specialty shots and not included in the club distance average. I use my 6i and 5hy to do a lot of "get out of trouble" from punching out or putt around the green and it gets recorded to the club average. This can be done post round. My putter has a counter weight and I can't screw the pin in the butt end. They should provide a clip or two that would allow attachment.

Great addition for any golfer.
I find this a great aid in recording my shots, Its been a god send so far. Easy to use, prepare the course prior to leaving the house on the phone, switch on the device once I get to the golf course and I am off. Not intrusive at all, after a while it becomes second nature to tag the device and if you forget it picks up that you have taken a shot and indicates what club to put in. Its dropped out of sync a couple of times but it tells you to carry on playing till it syncs up. I normally carry my phone in the bag but I now find its better to carry it in my pocket, less chance of losing the sync if you have to go into the dark and forbidden place know as the trees, oh my. I am looking forward to using this in the summer since all I have collected is winter stats. Great piece of equipment. Game golf on the phone is great to, cant fault it at all.

Poor device
This product, for the first 3 rounds was excellent. Then it just ‘stopped working’. No power. Nothing...? Extremely disappointed

Was bleibt ist also Technik-Müll!

Contents
I received my "Game Golf Live" so I thought I would post a pic of the contents as there seems to be a discrepancy of the actual items in the box. On the bottom of the package in small black wording it actually lists the contents.
