Christian Clinician’s Take…
I love the emotional depth and the deeply compassionate tone of this book which accurately depicts many of the emotions my Christian clients experience. It broaches topics like forgiveness and anger with deep empathy yet straightforward truth of how to move forward in healing. I use the Fresh Start workbook as a theological supplement, where appropriate, but this book has been a cherished gift to the healing process.

Secular and cognitive, something to be gained
My teenage daughter went through divorce and gave this book a shot. She's emotionally intelligent for her age, this book is worth a try

Great resource!
One of the worst things you can do after a divorce is to not recognize the loss you experienced, even if you think you're doing ok after it. I've found that may divorce recovery groups are ineffective (you get what you pay for), and I've found many therapists to be overly feminist and to not understand a male point of view. I've found this book, used in combination with Warren Farrell's "The Boy Crisis", to be highly valuable.

Very helpful workbook
This was so much better than just reading a book! I loved the exercises that really opened up some things, but in a good way because I needed to work through the feelings.
