This is my new favorite at-home hair dye. I was previously using a similar color from Vidal Sassoon, but mistakenly purchased this one. I'm happy to say this is one of my favorite mistakes. The color is much richer and it leaves my hair ridiculously soft and silky. I've used various brands of hair dye at home, but the softness and luster this dye leaves my hair with is the most comparable to when I get my hair professionally done. My hair is naturally very thick, jet black, and coarse; however, I've recently began to sprout a few grays in there. The darkness of my hair makes the gray just that much more pronounced. Before the gray started to kick in, I never really dyed my hair because it was so black, no color would show without bleaching my hair first. Now that the first few grays have come in, however, I thought it'd be nice to dye those a nice deep purple to give my hair a little highlight. The pigments in this dye is very rich and in my hair comes out as a deep purplish red. You can't really see it indoors, but it's noticeable in natural light. The first time I used this dye, I was very surprised with how soft and smooth my hair turned out. Applying this dye is just like using any other home box hair color, but this process includes maybe a few more tubes than other brands such as Clairol and Vidal Sassoon. The dye itself is a very rich dark pinkish purple during application and is more than enough for my thick hair's root section. With other brands, specifically Clairol, I'd have to use two bottles for the roots and three for the whole head. Rinsing takes a bit longer than other brands, however. This color also seems to rinse out faster with subsequent shampoos, but it hasn't faded too noticeably between colorings (I try to re-color my roots about once a month). I was so smitten with not just the shade, but the way it conditions my hair, that I told my sister about it who constantly dyes her hair and always has it in different impressive colors, but she already knew about it and was actually using it as her go-to at-home treatment herself! This is a great way to both color and condition your hair at home for a fraction of the price of a salon with very similar results and I highly recommend it!

Live this brand and this color. It comes w color care shampoo and conditioner. I have gotten so many compliments on my hair and I do it myself. So easy to use!

This has been my go to color for YEARS now. Probably more than 5 actually. My natural color is dark brown with some grays and this dye colors my hair the color on the box! It has become more expensive in stores recently so I decided to do a subscribe and save on Amazon because they - it's always good to save money! I am impressed! It arrived in perfect condition, but also this formula seems to be BETTER than when I buy in store? Perhaps just a fluke, but it went on my hair more evenly, and the color seems more vibrant even though it's the same shade. Also I usually lose quite a bit of hair when I dye it (all dye is rough on your hair) but this time there was very minimal breakage! If it's a new formula then bravo! Will definitely keep my subscription going!

I love this brand & this color is amazing. It comes with dye, oil, shampoo & conditioner. You do have to be careful until the first washing you don't dye clothes or bedsheets. I just use a towel on my pillow. No harsh scents & it smells great. Lasts a long time.

I will definitely keep repurchasing this dye because the color turns out beautiful, even on black hair without bleaching. However, it does stain the scalp and is quite hard to wash off. it took me several days. It also stains surfaces easily, and my bathtub definitely suffered, so make sure to protect your bathroom. Despite that, I still love the result and will buy it again.

A really pretty shade for your hair, it lasts a long time and doesn't damage it at all, it adapts to your base color, I loved my results

This is a beautiful colour. It is a deep burgundy and that was what I was looking for. The quality is amazing. I have a very bad experience with Garnier Nutrise colour. So, I am happy with this one. Please, keep in mind, the time they state is accurate. I left the colour on my hair for 25 minutes. If you leave it longer, no more colour is getting in your hair, but may damage it! They test it. Also, I didn't wash my hair for 3 days after the colouring. That way, it absorbs the colour deep in to your hair. Then I wash my hair 3 times a week. The colour was still running after the 3 days but only a bit. I couldn't see it on my pink hair towel at all. I hope, it will last a month before my grey hair will show up again. I agree with some girl's comments that you need to follow the instructions. Then you will have a beautiful, shinny and smooth hair. I used Garnier for close to 15 years. This is my first experience with other brand and I am very happy that I switched to L'OREAL PARIS FERIA. Thank you Amazon for the fair price! I ordered 2 more and will order again in the future.

I took the leap of faith and decided to try this due to quarantine. I am not the DIY type at all and I usually get my hair done at the select salons. I have very black hair and I was thinking that the colour would do nothing to my hair. I mixed up the colour using the instruction sheet and put almost the whole thing on my hair using the bottle and then left it for about an hour. Then I washed with the shampoo and conditioner that were included in the package. After towel drying, it still didn’t look like much. But after drying my hair, oh my godness!!!! It is such a GORGEOUS shade of purple oh wowww!!! This definitely works on black hair and gives it such a beautiful shade exactly as shown on the box!!! I just LOVE the colour and my hair feels so soft! I am so glad I decided to try this! I will definitely continue to use this!

My favorite hair dye works perfectly every time

Not too far off the salon color I got months ago. It had faded so much (the salon color) that I didn't want to pay another 136 dollars for another color so I bought the box color. I absolutely love this color. Its so close to the salon color I had. Vibrant and rich color. I am very impressed and very happy. Will continue to buy this color. 🙂
