Works amazing for connecting a third party power supply to the AKASO WT50 Mini Projectors. Just make sure whatever power supply you are pulling from has a buck converter or method to treat the power before you plug it in. But most USB C power suppliers already do a great job of keeping the power consistent.

I purchased this adapter with high hopes for my 2015 non-USB-C Dell Inspiron laptop (12G Ram, i7, 4GB AMD GPU, Win10Pro) so I could use it with my newer Dell XPS 15 USB-C charger (and fingers crossed, my Cal-Digit T3 dock) and eliminate the need to lug a proprietary charger around and hopefully charge via my docking setup. I didn't expect the adapter to connect my peripherals via USB 3 on the dock, I just hoped to get power delivery from the USB C/adapter combo. I didn't check the specs on the CalDigit but my XPS USB-C dock supports 20V as the manufacturer recommends. Connected to either the dock or just the XPS charger, the adapter did not charge, at best, it held current power at whatever the laptop had left in the battery (if I can trust what the battery indicator was telling me while it was connected with the adapter) and caused extreme lag when using the device. The lag was intolerable. It was extreme to the point of making the device unusable while the adapter was connected. As soon as the adapter was disconnected, the laptop worked as normal, which is great. So not only did it not work as advertised it actually degraded the performance of my laptop, which I had recently refurbished with a new hard drive and MoBo, so it was like new. Really wish it had worked.

It works to charge my Lenovo Yoga 2-in-1 from a 60W USB-C PD power supply. The adapter has a control board inside it that triggers the USB-C PD power supply to start supplying 20V. The laptop takes over from there to charge the battery.

This Type-c charging cable has been a game-changer for my mobile work setup. The ability to power my Surface notebook from a power bank has eliminated the constant hunt for an outlet, especially when I'm on the road or in older cars without outlet plugs. The magnetic connector is a neat feature, ensuring a secure connection that isn't easily disrupted.However, there's a key aspect to note: the PC must be turned on for the cable to work. If your device is entirely dead, don't expect to plug it in and see it start charging immediately. I'm not sure of the reason behind this, but it's something to be aware of.Despite this minor setback, when the product works, it's seamless. The LED lamp design indicating the connection status is a thoughtful touch. Just ensure you're using it with the recommended 45W 15V/3A output, as anything less might cause charging issues.In short, if you're a professional always on the move, this charging cable can be a valuable asset, with some caveats to keep in mind.

Crazy that I can turn a heavy, clunky power pack with a couple meters of cord into this tiny converter. I already have a multi-country travel power pack with a 70 Watt USB C outlet. I got to wondering if I could charge my PC with a USB C cable. Low and behold this was all I needed. Thrilled to further reduce my pack weight and size for international travel.An important note: make sure your power block/converter/whatever you prefer to call it that plugs into the wall provides enough wattage to actually charge your computer, otherwise this won't work for you (and it's not fault of the adapter itself, either). I believe it's a 65 Watt minimum.

It works as intended, looking to buy another one since I’m able to power my micro pc with them instead of the huge power brick I can use a usb c charger.

Purchased on November 2023. Cable went bad on March 2024.update:Seller has offered to send me a replacement. I will update this review if I receive the replacement.update 2:I received the replacement and it's working fine. I think original cable had gone bad due to cable fraying internally from bending over time. I will see how long this one lasts.
