Ageless book of innocence and kindness. Also how God is a forgiving and all wise God. If we have faith and trust in Him only our lives would be so much more peaceful. I bought this for our great grand daughter’s parents to read to their children.

I loved Heidi growing up, but never read the story. I was happy to share this book with my 5 year old who asked me every day to read Heidi. It's a story that has and will continue to stand the test of time!

I loved the relationship with her grandmother and grandfather. Jeudis reading of the Hymns was timeless.

Update: We are nearly finished this book and the story is so beautiful, my daughter and I love to doing our reading every day. I have noticed a few typos, mainly spacing issues (no space after a comma), but I'm still happy enough with this copy to keep it at 4 stars.This was one of the only copies of Heidi we could find that wasn't an abridgement. We ordered two different copies that weren't described as abridgements but turned out to be! The text is smaller than I'd personally prefer but otherwise it's a good copy.Im reading this with my 8 year old daughter. We team read, so she reads a paragraph, then I do and so on. She is really loving the story. I'm also really enjoying it. The story moves at a decent pace, enough to keep her attention and we're really enjoying our time getting to know the characters and to talk about what might happen next or what we think of Heidi's grandfather and how he's affected by having her with him.Great book, decent copy, good price.

Good for the price ...
