TOAKS Titanium D190mm Plate

Nice size so you can eat your freeze dried meal from a plate and not the bag. It's not big and definitely not heavy, so it's easy to slide into your backpack so that when not hiking solo you can split a couple or more different menu items.

I wanted a smaller lighter plate for solo camping. That is exactly what this is. Really take the time to grab a tape measure to visualize this bowls size. Sides are not high so if you’re looking to eat big portions you’ll probably simply eat out of the bag or pots. Nice that sharps won’t hurt it, unlike a non-stick pan where you wouldn’t want to eat with metal cutlery, with this you can. It feels thin, I suspect it will work fine. It will warp slightly with a loaded portion but it doesn’t reach a critical point where it could collapse like a paper plate. It weighs nothing, if there was a slightly bigger one, or even one with taller sides you might want to consider that. It will definitely transfer heat, it’s very thin. It fits tucked under my nesting cooking pots and therefore fits in that mesh bag. Small but still recommended. I lost it a star only because it’s a bit shallow and tiny bit lacking, perceived only, in sturdiness.

These plates are very light weight and durable. They can be bent, so careful with storage. Overall, I’d happily pickup more of these.

Light weight and very packable. Nest in one another if you have a couple to pack. A bit small -you won’t be eating a full size steak and sides. Clean up really easy.

If you’re in the market for a titanium plate for camping and hiking, this one is excellent. I have purchased several titanium pieces from Toaks and I’m always pleased. This plate is no exception. What I especially like about this plate is that it’s deep, so you can use it as a shallow bowl as well. It’s lightweight, but quite rigid, so unless you step on it or fall on it, it should last you a long time. The carry bag is a nice addition as well, and it’s loose enough to fit my wood kuksa cup and a spork in the pouch with the plate. All-in-all, it’s a great item and a great value.
