Extremally Disappointed with Daiwa
I received this new spinning reel in the mail on Tuesday and sent it back that same day. I have been wanting this reel for weeks now after watching many reviews on YouTube. What was never discussed was the amount of play with the reel handle and internal gears. You can wiggle the handle side to side and feel the internal gears moving. For a reel at this cost I would expect much better quality. I also bought a Daiwa Ballistic MQ 2500 and am seeing the same results. I am switching to the Shimano Stradic which is tight and smooth. I am very disappointed with the quality in the Daiwa reels.

If u like the Shimano stratic but wanna save some money this reel easily competes with the stratic and even out preform it in some aspectsThe Procyon has proved time and time again to be a great reel

Very good reel for the money
Great reel for inshore and freshwater fishing. I bought the 3000 size. The intended use for this reel was for bank bass fishing creeks and small lakes/ponds near me. The reel surprisingly works as well as other reels costing considerably more. (shimano vanford 3000, penn clash II 3000) I have also used this reel for saltwater bay/inlet fishing targeting speckle trout, red drum, sheepshead, etc. I will by another one and also a 4000 size.
