Will these curtains shrink with washing? And how much will the 96' curtains shrink initially?

Yes, my 108" shrunk almost 12" and I washed according to instructions (wash cold, tumble dry low/cold- which took forever). But they still shrunk and are now high water curtains.

Are these really "tab" top? They don't look like it from the picture...

There are tabs on the back side, so when you hang them they don't look like tab tops, but they actually do have the tabs.

are these room darkening at all? does light come through the grey color?

I have the white - they are fairly room darkening but still let light in. Definitely not sheer. They do a nice job of blocking the neighbors but still allowing some light into the room.

Is each panel 50in wide or 25 wide

I ordered the white ones and each panel was 25" wide, not 50" wide as the description indicates. So, 50" total width of two panels together. Nice fabric and color though, so I'll order another set to fill out the window.
