Best Portable Thumbdrive Available
This is my third Lexar thumbdrive, and I am very happy with it. Previously, I had a 4GB version of the same drive, and my first thumbdrive was a 128MB Lexar. This thumbdrive is fast and does everything you'd expect without all the bloatware (e.g. U3 software). The drive attaches to your key chain via the included plastic cover, but the drive itself detaches while in use. This is a nice feature since my keys probably weigh a pound and would likely cause the drive to snap if it had to hold the keys up while inserted into a desktop USB port. Despite this, the drive attaches securely and locks in place in the plastic cover. I have never once had either the 4GB or the 16GB slip out unintentionally in my 2+ years of use. The drive is not the smallest I've ever owned (a Kingston DataTraveler Mini Migo won that prize), but is still very lightweight and portable (just as you'd expect).

Lexar USB 2.0 Flash Drive
The USB is a great buy i bought this for my car as a substitute for an MP3 Player and it worked great i am very happy with the product the area on the USB Cover to hook on your keychain is big enough and good quality i moved 631 songs from my PC to my USB and it only took maybe 5 min its a very good product and Lexar is a very durable, reliable, and quality brand and you can see that from other reviews so if its a safe buy you want and quality to match Lexar is the only way to go and this USB in particular is the one to start with

Unique, and great performer
Unlike all the other usb thumb drives, this 16GB Firefly shares a unique feature. The cap/holder remains on your keychain. The drive pulls out to use, and when you go to replace the cap and carry it around, that cap is still on your keychain, so you won't lose it! Besides that unique feature of all the Lexar Fireflies, it's a great performer. Very quick read and write compared to several other brands I've used. Moreover, using easily available utilities, it can be set as a non-removeable drive. This allows it to be partitioned, backed up, whatever. I set a small partition for running a backup program as a boot drive, and the other 98% as a storage device. So, I can backup with and to this usb drive. (You can still use the windows remove usb device to unmount it as a usb device.) It does what no other has been able to do by being easy to carry, partition, and bootable all at the same time.

Decent read, slow write speeds.
Title says it all. I use it to transfer digital content from my computer to hdtv. I've not had a problem watching any HD content from the drive on the tv or computer. However, it's quite slow when writing to the drive. Typically, if I'm transferring a 1GB file I'll have to go do something else and come back in 5 minutes to see if the upload is done yet. Overall though, a good little drive that's small and well-designed.

If you want a flash drive, get one of these
If you want a flash drive, get one of these. The plastic is very durable (I had one on my keychain, which takes a *lot* of abuse, for two years before I gave it to someone), and the electronic bits have generally been reliable for me. It's especially nice that the flash drive itself detaches from the keyring clip; often I want to give someone my flash drive to copy data, but I don't want to have to give them my whole keychain; or if I'm using my laptop, I don't want all my keys dangling off the side. The holster makes it easy to detach (but holds it otherwise securely), but still covers the USB side, instead of just the back. In general, it's simply well-designed. There's not too much to say about it, and that's a good thing; it does its job well.

Powerful, but TOO small
The Lexar jump Drive has 8GB, which means it holds a lot of information and music, but it is so small that it is easily lost. Also, the cap is not attached to the body and transparent, making it a bit difficult to keep them together. If you are a very organized person, who always keeps things in exactly the same place, this it an excellent buy. The low price makes it an excellent value, but only if you can hang on to it and its cap.

sturdy and convenient
bought this drive because of its small size and because i can attach it to my keyring and have it with me wherever i go. i've noticed that a lot of flash drives attach directly to keyrings/lanyards/etc. i like that this one doesn't attach directly; the plastic cover attaches on the keyring, and the drive itself can be conveniently removed & used. (the drive fits snugly in the cover, i never worry that it'll come loose and get lost.) i've had it for three years now and never a problem. it's sturdy, convenient, and reliable.

Great little flash
I have a few of these already, and use them for redundant storage, or to move files between computers in my house. They have enough room (2Gig) to hold whatever I need per category: backups, text, MPG, etc. The only drawback is when using an older computer without front or side plugs, you have to fish for the little guy in back. (Yeah, I still own one of those) All in all, for 8 or 9 bucks (price has gone up a couple of bucks), you can't beat them. The new ones I received do not have the flashing led on the tip to show accessing, but this always seemed a waist to me anyway. As far as access speed, I have an older AMD K8U-X (above) that I use for my main internet computer (to lazy to put another one together)and accessing this flash drive has never been a problem speed wise. If I was using something like a Dell notebook, it would be a different matter, as EVERYTHING IS SLOW. I have been using computers as long as they have been around, and access speed is 99% of the time controlled by the computer unless something is wrong with the storage device, or you are a speed freak and expect way to much out of a low cost piece of hardware. Addendum: Just had one go bad on me, but at the price, I don't care. This is why you should only USE FLASH MEMORY FOR FILE TRANSFER OR REDUNDANT STORAGE.
