100% Lambswool Ruana Cape

I decided my acrylic ruanas/capes needed an UPGRADE this fall/winter. I am so glad I stumbled on the Shepards Land shop - these are amazing lambswool capes w/fringe. I got the classic black and the blackwatch plaid (it looks black in the photo, but it's the traditional navy/black/green plaid - that is timeless!) I was SO impress with how these hung and they weren't heavy in the least bit! They will keep me warm for all the fall bonfires, holiday church and family events, and the Christmas caroling I have planned! I can wear a leather jacket as part of my outfit or a bulky sweater and this cape will be the perfect outer layer - it feels warm without making be look huge! I just ordered the red plaid too! I know I these will last and wont ball up and look worn in a year or two like my acrylic knit capes, which makes this item worth the cost! Kudos for a GREAT product!

This ruana exceeded my expectations. The camel color is a true camel and perfect to wear over a black column. The wool is quite soft and not scratchy to me and I'm pretty picky about wool. It is not too heavy (weight-wise) and yet substantial enough to get me through most of the winter in South Carolina with maybe a little layering. I'm 5'4" and the length is good. Maybe a little long in the back (mid calf) but that's OK with me. Covers well over the front and is about mid thigh. I have short arms but it has good coverage over arms down to wrist. I think it's a great buy and will probably go back for a plaid.

Good quality and warm

This was purchased to wear when I am away from home. My hosts keep their house cold, and we also eat outside at Thanksgiving. It is well made. However, it was not warm enough for me this past few weeks at Thanksgiving outdoors. The next time I will wear a warmer sweater under and I believe it will be fine. It is attractive and could be worn at a dressy event.
