Keeps my soda can perfectly cold all day!
I bough this to keep a can of soda cool through the day, and it does exactly that! There were some complaints about the fan noise, and those are valid. If you have a super quiet office, you'll definitely hear and notice it. I didn't find it bad at all though. Compared to the laptop fan of my computer, it was much quieter. Also does hot to keep your coffee hot through the day. Works fine although finding a cup that fits in the metal part is hard. You can put the coffee right in the metal part and it works fine, although can be hot to the touch since metal is very conductive. I prefer to just use a thermos for hot drinks. If I did hot drinks often and wanted to use this, I'd shop around for a mug the size/shape of a 12 oz soda can. One thing to be aware of: If making a drink cold, you need to use plastic cover that comes with it. This is needed to keep the hot air produced by the chiller from rising and warming your drink! This plastic cover is important for the efficiency and efficacy of the chiller. I liked it so much I bought a second one for my desk at home. If you need a gift idea, I would bet this would make an awesome gift for the Diet Coke drinker in your life who works at a desk.

Okay when it worked. Doesnt work now less than a month later
It was okay when it worked but it stopped working less than a month later. Turns on and shuts off after a few seconds. I'll change the review if I get a replacement and it doesn't die after month but for now it's looking like a scam. Stay away from it for now.

I use this thing for 4+ hours a day, 4-5 days a week, for months
I've been using this thing for like 4 months, 4-5 days a week, and for 4+ hours a day to keep my sodas cool, and it hasn't missed a beat. The fan isn't actually that loud, and my coworkers are less than 4' away from it. It does a decent job of keeping a full can of coke cool, and usually the bottom half of the can is COOLER than it was when I got it out of the fridge in the breakroom. It does struggle with a full bottle of coke, where the temp display starts to climb a degree or 2, but it does a respectable enough job.

Would be a good product if it lasts longer.
Very convenient to keep drinks cool/warm close by. Did not last very long before it quit working. Hoping to get a replacement or some sort of resolve.

My experience with this product
Here's my experience with this product: I just purchased my second one because I thought the first one is broken. I bought the first one back in March 2022. It was all good and I was enjoying this product every day. But during the first week of June, the temperature sensor stopped working. Whether it was set on cold or hot mode, the temp will always show as 60, never goes up or down anymore. Although the temperature sensor have malfunctioned, it was still working fine keeping my drinks cold/hot. A few days ago on August 4th, it stopped working. No matter what I did it won't turn on. So I decided to purchase a new one. Today on August 7th, I just got the second one from USPS. I figured out that the product wasn't completely broken, it turns out that the plug is broken, not the base stand. I first thought to just swap the base stand while using the same plug, but it wasn't turning on so I took the old plug out and put in the new one and it was working. Then I tried it on the old one and it works. I'll try to see if I can get a new plug, if I can I'll use it in the living room. If not, I'll keep the old one in the box as a back up.

As advertised
I'm amazed but this did exactly what it said it would. I wouldn't go so far as to say it would freeze things (unless it's that soda you left a little too long in the freezer and it was on the edge, which I did on accident), but it keeps an aluminum can of soda crispy cold all day. It's also just big enough that the metal cup included can hold a smartwater bottle, a hint water bottle, and most iced coffees. I haven't tried it for anything hot yet, but I'm delighted with the cooling feature. It's a little noisy and I suspect it draws a good bit of power, but it's greatly slowed my soda intake because I was always rushing to finish it before it was warm. I'll update when it eventually dies.

A bit noisy, but it works
The seller does not mention the amount of continuous fan noise coming from this device. It’s not deafening, but it is still quite noticeable. Over time it may become barely there background noise. But not yet. Also, the round, tinted disc that covers the display was laying in the bag when I opened the box. I had, in fact still have, the option of returning it for a new product. Or, I can clean the disc, put some glue on it and reattach. I will think about it. UPDATE: This unit failed after two months of continuous use. First, the display failed, no longer showing an accurate temperature. No big deal. It was still cold, so I did not need a temperature reading. A week later, The whole thing died. Of course it was past the return window, but Amazon customer service agreed to the return. I miss it. After reaching into the freezer for ice cubes these past two months, I had to order a replacement. Yes, for better or worse this thing is made in China. However, unlike the first cup cooler I purchased, which arrived in less than four days, the replacement is being shipped from China itself. The delivery time is about one and a half months. I see it just cleared customs at JFK. I hope I don’t have to return this one as well.

Cord Shorted & Cannot Contact Seller: BUYER BEWARE!
This worked fine for first 2 months. In fact, I liked it so much I purchased a second one. But then the cord shorted — popping, sparking & smoking! I tried to contact seller for a replacement cord. Unable to do so. Did talk to an Amazon rep who said she would have seller contact me. Absolute silence. Since cord shorted after return window, Amazon wouldn’t take it back or give refund. I understand their policy, but feel they could have done more to get seller to make this right. TOTAL WASTE of money, time. Beware of this seller.

Doesn't work great. Pass on this one. Neat to see this technology used but it just doesn't work well enough for this application.
