Grape & Leaf Altar Lace Filet Crochet Pattern: Complete Instructions and Chart

Great pattern, very pretty and extremely easy to follow if you enlarge the visual and work from there.

I'm a little over halfway done with this pattern and I absolutely love it. The method of increase/decrease is genius and results in a very even scalloped effect. I have only done a few little practice charts in filet crochet, so I was happy to have the written line-by-line instructions in case I got stuck.So far, I've only had to refer to those one time, because the chart is clear. (I'm just new to this type of crochet.) This is going to be an impressive piece when it's finished, and will cover about 2/3 the width of the altar frontal. It goes much faster than I ever dreamed, so I'm already planning matching lace for the fair linen edging.

The book and instructions are fine. But there is another booklet sandwiched in the pages of the pattern book. I was confused at first but now realize that it's an entirely different book.

I'm giving all crochet books and patterns four stars because I prefer the dark area to be dots as it is on some, much easier to see each square that way, if yours are dots give yourself 4 stars

The chart was a great guide and easy to follow. Enjoyed making this project. I still have to make additional adjustments at both ends to match our community's altar.
