See "blurb" for story line - read the sample for the author's style
I knew from my first reading of the prologue for 'Blood & Bones: Cage' (in the author's previous book) that I would feel for this Hero(H). I'm a mother of two grown sons that I love very much. Abandonment is something I will never be able be able to comprehend. Now, I've completed the book and can say my initial impression was accurate. This H will pull at your heartstrings. The Heroine(h) will likewise engender emotion, but for different reasons. Both characters' backgrounds/history are explained and amply detail the whys for their reactions to one another and the situations they find themselves in. The author beautifully weaves their pasts and present together to create a well woven conflict. One thing that surprised me was my reaction to their eventual physical connection. It was beautiful. I loved the way it was written and felt the h's confusion at its overwhelming inevitability and rightness, which caused issues with her sense of self and where she should be in her life. I was also pleased that the H never had any doubts about her place in his life but was willing to allow her the space she needed, even though he suffered for it.If you enjoy an alpha H with a heart and an independent h who's willing to bend, and discovers the many benefits of doing so, you'll enjoy 'Blood & Bones: Cage' very much.Potential triggers: abandonmentOther alerts: explicit lovemaking, cursing, limited scene-appropriate gun/knife violence

Not different
One thing Trip likes to say is how different they are from the past club. Yet they beat the crap out of Cage with a wooden bat as a punishment. That could've caused some kind of internal injury that could've killed him. They really couldn't come up with a proper punishment. Maybe take away his place at the table. They could've killed their so called brother and left his daughter fatherless. They aren't as different as Trip likes to think. I hate that Jemma never calls him out on it. I really wish they would not live in the same place as the Bryson's. The constant insults thrown at then just make me irritated with everybody in the Blood Fury. The fact that they used children as shields and were talking about killing kids as if it is a sure thing is gross. It makes me not even want to read future books knowing what they are planning to do. Jemma was right to leave. Her being with him after he did the same thing to a child that her father did to her makes no sense at all. This book turned me off of this series sadly. I loved all the other ones but now those characters are ruined for me also by not speaking out on doing that to kids.

This book was an emotional ride. Cage gets an unexpected surprise when a baby is left at the garage with a note pinned to her diaper saying she was his. The mother was an Amish woman he had sex with twice and apparently one of the condoms he used was defective. The mother couldn’t keep the baby so left her with Cage. He was totally unprepared to take care of a baby and didn’t have a clue what to do. Jemma is Judge’s sister. She’s an RN and in between jobs. She also hates the MC life and rarely comes home. As a favor to Judge she agrees to come back and take care of the baby until she finds another job. What she didn’t plan on was falling in love with Cage and Dyna. Then Dyna is kidnapped and everything gets real quickly. The emotions are up and down and their story is fantastic.

Cage and Jemma
Cage life is forever and when his infant daughter that he knew nothing about is abandoned into his care and brings back the memories and feelings of when his mother left him as a very young child. Jemma has bad memories from her childhood and when she returns home she vows it's not forever. Being together caring for his daughter they find themselves falling for one another. I rooted for Cage and Jemma to be together. I laughed, I cried, my heart broke for them and when it finally happened I was happy he approached her brother to get the call clear. I'm so happy the became a family and I can't wait to see more of them in the future.

Just keeps getting better !
This book was amazing !Jeanne St. James never fails to deliver an amazing story. She turned every one of my previous feelings about Cage around by revealing a different side to his character. He turned out to be one of my favorite characters in the series so far .... second to Sig. Admittedly tho it took me a hot minute to warm up to Jemma. It must have been my loyalty to Cage and the fact that Jemma kept one foot out the door until nearly the end.I loved this book ! It’s my second favorite book in the Blood Fury series for now, which to be honest I love them all, but with this being said, I suspect that Shade, up next, and Rook after that will give Cage and Sig a good run for their money. I can’t wait for the next one.

Lots of twists and turns on this road
Another addition for the keeper shelf! Cage overcame his upbringing to become a man who accepts the twists and turns of life. He accepted his responsibility and vowed to change and make it better for everyone. I was surprised many times throughout this book. It definitely will require many rereads. This series just keeps getting better and better. Looking forward to more from fantastic author.

Wow
One thing I always loved about this series in particular is that everyone in it is… real. Jemma has a plan and she sticks to it. She’s upfront about it and Cage knows that she’s both wrong AND right. Jemma also sees that Cage is both wrong and right. The situation isn’t easy or about capitulating to one partner’s needs over another. This one especially holds a place of respect for me because too many books force women and men into boxes. However, Jemma & Cage’s story is incredibly refreshing in its unapologetic realism. Can’t wait to start the next book in the series!

Ok
This was an ok read but did get annoyed with it afew times & wanted to quit reading it afew times due to Jemma remember nearly every single detail of what happened to her when she was 5 years old & younger & it really annoyed me. Got alittle bored with it to be honest but I did think Cage (chris) sound hot & fab just ashame I wasn't impressed with Jemma at all.

Loved it
I have to admit it has taken me slightly longer to like the characters from this series than all the others. But this book wow it blew my expectations, back to her normal fantastic story telling and gut wreching emotional overload at times. I think this might be a close 1st for a favourite of Jeannes

Cage
Never disappointed. Love this series. Cage was a great twist on how a biker turns into a daddy in the blink of an eye. The way its written Cage seemed very young but in reality I think he was older. I think the reality of living this life was told in this story. Jemma running from all she remembered of a abusive past but falling in love with an MC member anyway. It was not as dramatic or angst filled as the other reads but it tells a great story of accepting responsibility, family and even accepting yourself.
