Hinoki Aroma Oil (Japanese Cypress) 10ml Oil by Chidoriya

Some of the 1-star reviews said 'base notes of glue or plastic or old oil, odd gas-like aroma, Not even close to any natural scent, Disappointing aroma'.But I risked the buy anyway.Now I don’t have the greatest sense of smell, and little experience with essential oils.But this did remind me of pine forest so works for me.As for the 1-star reviews, have any of you actually cut or trimmed pines?I have. This smells like the cut limbs - which aren’t all rosy scents that fall sweetly on the palate.

This smells great, it’s so relaxing and nice.

I'm Japanese and am familiar with the scent of actual hinoki.This is the closest I've found to the Hinoki smells around Japanese temples.I use this in a homemade oil diffuser and find that it does spread nicely throughout the room.The bottle, however, is tiny (as expected after reading the listing) and it isn't too cost effective. I will continue to search for a larger volume of hinoki essential oil - even if it means I have to go back to Japan to get it.

I have nothing to compare it with, so I can't say this is perfect, but it seems like the hinoki I have had in the past. I can't afford a custom-made hinoki wood tub, so this is what I buy for bath water. I purchased this because what little I found online was more expensive.

I have used this oil in a diffuser a number of times. It’s not quite what I expected. The scent is very much like gasoline. I thought that it was just a fluke at first and maybe it will be different once diffused but I still don’t like it much.

Wow!!! This stuff is POTENT! Better than any other Hinoki oil on the market IMO, and I’ve tried them all. I like to add this to my diffuser, bath and hand sanitizer for the fragrance and purifying properties. I mix it with Himalayan sea salt to make an Onsen bath

i used this in a diffuser the scent was very good and my daughter kept asking for more when I ran out the bad thing is they were out of stock when i went back. I will keep trying.
