Mineral AirRenewal Serum System

This product is a combination of two items, a bottle of serum and an application tool. The tool itself is a battery-powered diffuser very much like one you might use for essential oils in your workspace of home. It can be charged using a provided USB cable, and then it simply runs when the top is pulled upward. So to operate it, you pull the top upward, close your eyes, and aim the device at various parts of your face. The unit does a good job delivering a light coating of the provided serum, which you previously poured into the device (the serum provided allows for the unit to be filled twice). Close the device to shut off the diffuser.The serum provided is comfortable, pleasant, and I had no redness or irritation from its use. At this writing, 100ml refills are available for $40; the volume is about four times the amount provided in this initial package. And that brings me to the first of my two issues - the price point is quite high. The refill amount is steep, but at the refill price point, it means the diffusing device is about $60 by itself plus ten more for the initial bottle of product. Diffusers simply aren't that expensive.My second issue is whether one can use this for other products. Now I don't expect Bic to tell me if I can use Papermate refills in their pens, so I also don't expect this company to tell me if I can use other brand products in their diffuser. But this company doesn't have a long track record, and if I'm going to invest in their diffuser, I'd like to know if I can use other serums or moisturizers, or whether there's some special ingredient in their serum that makes it so that it works with the diffuser, something that other serums don't have.Three stars for the somewhat-gimmicky approach to applying expensive facial product.

This device left me speechless -- beautifully packaged and that's all. It requires unnecessary effort and is a useless delivery system for an expensive serum that is so micro-fine that I can't even feel or see it on my face afterwards. It neither "cools" nor moisturizes, but evaporates instantly. Worse, my sensitive skin reacted badly to the Edelweiss ingredient.Why exactly is micronized mist necessary anyway? This is an expensive tool just for the purpose of applying a serum without "touching the face." Yet we use our hands otherwise to apply many types of skincare and cosmetics on a daily basis, so what's the point of making this one thing hands-free and less germy? I'm not at all impressed with this product.> The device requires charging> It "mists" as soon as the lid is pushed up and stops when pushed down -- no on/off button> The mist is too fine to even feel and evaporates in the air immediately> My face just felt dry afterwards> It takes too much product to actually feel the mist at all> The refills are equally expensive and will frequent refills at this rate> I'm not convinced it won't leak if not kept uprightThe device is sleek, pretty, and expensive looking, but serves no functional purpose in my beauty regimen. Too much work for zero payoff. If I want my face properly misted with any product, I can simply use a fine mist spray bottle for less money and trouble. In fact, I intend to re-purpose this device for other liquid products, like spray-on toners, plain water, etc. so it won't go to waste. My final verdict: Too expensive and creates a need that doesn't exist.

Mineral Air’s Serum and Sprayer are a novel idea. The serum is liquid and comes in a small squeeze bottle. The sprayer is plastic and looks like an oversized lipstick. It’s compact and well made.You remove the top of the sprayer and add serum. After you fill the reservoir with serum, you put the top back on. From there you’ll only lift the top an inch or so to reveal the sprayer. The sprayer will automatically start spraying a very, very fine mist of the serum. The problem I have is that even if you spray yourself for the full 30 seconds you barely feel anything, just a slight cooling sensation. Perhaps mine isn’t working properly but I expected something more impactful.All in all... meh.

The Pros:This Mineral Air Renewal System comes in high-end packaging that exudes the steep price you pay for it. The product is easy to assemble—you just pop the top up, pour in the serum, close the flap, then slide the lighted unit open, and the mist billows out with a short-range. It also comes with a USB charger, too, so no batteries!The Cons:The mist is so fine, if I want to actually get any on my face, I have to tilt my face over the product within an inch or so and let the mist rise up to meet my skin because it evaporates too quickly. It does create a shiny glow on my skin, which I actually prefer a matte look personally because I often go without foundation, but offers no moisturizing. My skin also feels tight, even after a few measured uses in one session.Overall, I think for what it costs, it is not as effective at nourishing my skin as a manually applied serum for my needs. It’s certainly fun to use, though, and the process feels ‘fancy’, but the serum quality and face tilting I have to do to get the product on my skin, just doesn’t do it for me.

Hopefully besides beauty, you are also into investing because, in addition to the dollar commitment which is not insignificant, you will also have to invest some of your time in constantly refilling the dispenser (after about 10 uses), and learning how to charge the battery and keeping track of the included USB cable so it's there when you need it. And make sure you remember to reorder serum refills because the included 28 mL tank won't go very far. A larger, 100 mL resupply is available at Amazon and you can find it if you search for B086FMMGPS.The product and its dispenser are pretty good actually. Both my wife and our daughter have tried it and they told me that they would be happy users if someone would do the the related chores. To my surprise, both told me that they would prefer a traditional hand pump to the electrically-powered device because it's something that works everytime. They would also prefer a transparent tank because it would be easier to determine when a refill is needed.

I like the spray bottle more than the renewal serum. The bottle is rechargeable and good for water serum. The serum is spraying a thin layer on the face that easy and fast absorbed by skin. The serum has no obviously moisture my skin and also has no negative feedback. The serum is gentle without any allergies. The serum is 28ml and I think refill several time will used up. But the price is really expensive. The serum is watery and maybe use more than other gel serum. I complain the first refilled the serum into the spray bottle and leaking when it lying down.
