After figuring out how to use this it works great. Using the bent claw side and a large hammer works best. I have the old style "hammer" type nail remover that works good if the heads are missing but this is faster for standard head type nails

I am working on restoring an antique footstool. After removing the upholstery fabric, batting, and moss (?) the sides and the 'underbelly' of the frame were littered with an insane amount of tiny tacks. They must have been used to secure the batting tightly over the moss. I tried everything to remove them: a putty knife, the back of a hammer, pliers, baby pliers, cuticle scissors...everything. Someone really pounded them into the wood, and they're just so tiny that nothing can 'grab' them to pull them out. I asked online, and someone said I needed a 'cats paw' so I bought this.It is really sturdy but not too big or heavy for me (a petite woman) to use. This is very well-made. It is just slightly too big for the job that I needed it for. After attempting to use it, my husband came home and saw what I was doing. Wouldn't you know he had the same sort of tool in the basement, but with smaller 'grippy parts' which easily slid underneath the tacks so they could be pulled out.

Great little nail puller/prybar for the price! Compact and great for my little edc car kit! It looks nice and works for everything I need it for!

Great tool for the money, I wouldn't knock it, I do construction, pull out nails, I just received this today, no doubt it will perform. The brand "Spec-Ops" I certainly don't resent supporting veterans, great that they do, in fact. However, I'm getting a vague suspicion. Anyone who frames or builds needs tools like this to pull out nails, pry with, obviously, but cops aren't in that business and they shouldn't frame. There's a little bit too much of a SWAT team meeting up on Wednesday nights when the moon is full with just a hint of a warrant to bust in residential doors using tools of a different trade, and that's when innocent subjects, neighbors and law-abiding citizens go to jail. It all depends on who's framing the door and who's assuming legal authority on some cause or matter to bust it in. My complaints are not applicable to this particular vendor. It's a good product and you need it but certain alarm bells are ringing at the builder's society.

Tossing this solid bar in my camper, because you just never know when you may need one. Seems well made and has tons of uses!

Great Cat's Paw for the price! Super durable, good size for my belt. Save the money and buy one of these, you won't be left looking for more.
