AT602 Dual Swing Gate Opener - AC Powered

Good gate opener for what I needed, it easily opens a 9 ft dual metal gate. Setup and installation was pretty easy. I did have one issue with getting the separate keypad i ordered to keep working, but I contacted support and they were more than helpful to resolve the issue. Its been about a year and no issues with the gate.

*****UP DATE******** I invented a locking mechinism that works GREAT with this gate system! No more fumbling with locks just one touch of the remote to open the gate system; system auto unlocks, OPENS, auto close and auto locks first time everytime and people walking by aren't aware ya locked it. Not telling ya how I got it to lock. ************************* NO Lock! Has no lock! Ya can't lock the gate! Topens sells a lock as shown in the middle right picture but, There is no provision/connection on the PC Board for a lock as shown on other PC Boards (picture) I think, someone should say something about this problem, with the NO LOCK Situation! Seems to Me the intent of a Gate or Door is to close and lock to keep people out, right?!! Otherwise this gate system is very good, Silent no noise at all that I can tell, nice safe swing speed, auto close with plenty of time to get through, stops when interferred with and reverses direction, made of fair construction but, no lock. Why would anyone (Chinese included) make something without the (LOCK) main component? *****UP DATE******** This didn't work; I gonna try updating My PC Board to a TOPENS EKPKMJ4B PCB Print Circuit Control Board Which has the lock function (and I have in My hot little hand right now just need a few more parts to install). *****UP DATE******** This now works with TOPENS ET24 Automatic Electric Gate Lock for DC 24V Swing Gate Opener Gate Operator System Device Safe Security Gate Lock; EKPKMJ4B won't work with this but, the keypad (a Retekess T-AC04 Garage Keyless Entry Pad) I am using will. I am changing My rating to five stars, as the situation seems to have been corrected with mixing and matching different parts which is really cool that ya can and the mix of parts to fix this I found makes this unit much better including adding more fuction (Solar) and adjustments then ever before. Not telling ya how I got it all working together.

I would rate this product a solid 4 stars. It was fairly easy to install and program. It is a little temperamental when it comes to closing the gate as sometimes one gate will not close 100%. I have to reopen and re-close the gate to take care of it. Other than that issue, it has been very reliable and I feel it is a good gate opener for the price. Customer service has been extremely good, contacted them on a couple of occasions and they’ve been very helpful and communicate very well. A rarity these days.

Updated a double door gate I have with these so I’m not in the rain trying to manually open my back gate. Each arm makes it easy to adjust the stop point or if I need to add delay to make sure one closes before the other. Remotes work from 100ft+ back so gates well open before we get to it. I have mine running in a remote location on a battery pack I charge weekly. It’s functioned great and kept me out of the weather. Super appreciate Laura at customer support. Humans actually answer which is rare, and she helped me keep my gate running smooth. Really appreciate it.

This product is very inexpensive, but you get what you pay for. I bought this set and installed it in December 2023. in May 2024 the right gate stopped closing. When I took it apart, I found that it had leaked very badly and rusted. The bearing was seizing. Be warned.

We love our gate openers. Had an issue with one a couple months after installing but reached out to customer service and they responded quickly. They ended up sending us a new opener arm and the system has been working properly ever since. Would highly recommend this product.

Even though my brother (a contractor) warned me that most gate openers can be a headache, I took a chance — and I’m glad I did. The unit arrived well-packaged and looked great. I did run into some adjustment issues during installation, so I contacted TOPENS directly. Their response was immediate and impressive. Customer service and ownership were proactive, communicative, and genuinely focused on making sure everything worked properly. They sent replacement parts that solved the issue, provided clear instructions, and followed up multiple times to confirm everything was working and that I was satisfied. I’ve now completed the install, and the opener works perfectly in a secure location. The system wasn’t hard to install as long as you read the manual but I do have issues with the quality of the gate cylinders one is having issues coming disconnected internally and not working.

Installed on a wooden handcrafted fence (each gate is 8' across/ 4' high). Opens and closes very smooth and fast enough for my needs. Took the better part of a day to do (including the electrical). They are mounted on 5" wood/round posts. Gates are an estimated 100-150 pounds. Wiring was straight forward and easy to do (all color coded). Unit has some advanced features like lights and external gate switch that I did not get. Nice feature for future use. Programming was a little challenging at first, but once i read the instructions a few times and played around it was not that difficult. There are also lots of gate opening/closing (programables) options that gives it lots of versatility. I liked this part. Manual was easy enough to read, Just lots of details for a first timer like myself. The only issue i really had was the limit switch. Manual was not fully clear for this newbie. Without setting the limit switch the gate does not open/close correctly, so the limits must be set. I only need to adjust the limit switch for the closing option. It slides back and forth easy enough. Once i had it set, I tightened the screw and it worked perfectly after that. Another issue was the play in the mount. Only my 5" wooden post the steel mounts had about a half inch play, which meant about 6-8" play where the gates meet. This is enough for my dog to squeeze through. My solution was to put a back support on the mounting. This reduced the play to precent my dog from slipping through. Yes I did think about an aligner where the gates meet, but this may have closing problems during the winter. Overall it was an enjoyable days work.

These are easy to install. The directions and YouTube videos are all you need to do it yourself. I had a couple questions and Topens replied quickly. This is the second property that I have installed their openers and I would defiantly buy them again.
