Mother Earth Products Dried Carrots, Quart Jar

I got this mainly for rice. I eat rice a lot, but I hate plain rice. I make my rice in an Instant Pot, and I like to add frozen peas, and these dehydrated carrots. The flavor is really good, and they absorb the water perfectly, so it doesn't come out crunchy. They come out really chewy, but not too chewy; exactly how I like my carrots cause I hate soft, soggy carrots in my rice and soupsI like adding these to chicken noodle soups too. It adds a sweetness to the broth, and enhances the flavor profile

I love carrots but fresh are packaged in too large of quantities for just me and often go bad so a waste. These dried carrots are fabulous! So flavorful, easy to use, long shelf life, economical and they rehydrate perfectly! I want them on auto ship! Love them!

I like the flavor and texture when I added it to rice that I was cooking, and I especially liked the convenience of not having to chop carrots. I also added dehydrated peas to the rice at the beginning of the cooking process, at the same time that I added the carrots.This would be good in vegetable soups also.

I like to have dehydrated veggies on hand, to throw into an impromptu soup (when I don't have any fresh veggies on hand and I don't feel like going out to the store). They are also a great way to add veggies to your diet - throw a handful into rice or quinoa while it's cooking, or reconstitute some and add to a meatloaf you are making, etc.Ideally I'd love to buy the pre-made soup starter, but since I'm allergic to peppers I have to buy carrots, onions, celery, and tomatoes separately and make my own blend. I ordered all four, and two of them came to me with the safety seals broken - one of them was completely ripped off and stuck up into the cap, and the other had a tear and hole in it. After 45 mins in the phone with A--z--n trying to get a replacement or refund, and getting nowhere, I contacted the manufacturer directly. They were nice enough to ship replacements to me in time for the easy post-Thanksgiving turkey soup that I've got planned for this weekend.The other two arrived fine, safety seal intact.I've already used them a few times, and I've concluded that Mother Earth makes a nice product that they stand behind. I put carrots, tomatoes, and celery in yesterday's plain rice and it made a nice confetti rice side dish. I also threw some dried tomatoes in a chicken lentil soup I made last week - also yummy. Earlier this week, I made some homemade doggie treats that called for carrots. Since I didn't have any fresh carrots, I reconstituted some dried ones in hot water, and added them to the recipe. The treats came out great, and after gifting them to a relative for her dog, I got a text saying that her pooch went crazy for the treats! So two thumbs (and paws) up!!

I'm not a big fan of fresh carrots which always seem to spoil before I get to use them all. Great alternative option.

I was unsure upon purchase that I would like using dried carrots but what a surprise. The taste is so fresh and they have nice chew. I find myself using them in much more then just soups.

I use these regularly in soup and stew. Works perfectly and no more waste of unused fresh carrots. I m using more and more dried vegetables in cooking and am pleased with the results.
