James Galway & Phil Coulter - Legends

We use a lot of James Galway and Phil Coulter for our Celtic church services. The sound of flute and piano is just right for that kind of music. My only reservation is that this music seems to be written to have the flute alternate with the piano, rather than have them combine for good harmonies.

Of all the Phil Coulter CDs, this is my favorite. No instruments lends itself to classic Irish music like the flute, and Galway is the world's best obviously. I've listened to this music for maybe a decade and still reach for it on long trips. Then I hum or whistle tunes from it for weeks afterwards.

I enjoy listening to Phil Coulter and now I enjoy playing his music.

We use this music with a flute, hammered dulcimer and piano! Great stuff! Beautiful songs and accompaniment! Highly recommend for any combination of instruments.

Nice book with many favorites. Comes with separate flute parts and piano accompaniment. Performed 2 pieces from here at recital. Recommend.

I love the cd by the same name and this book is the piano and flute parts.Easy to play, but challenging enough to make it fun to play and interesting to listen to.

Excellent book, with the beautiful music you also can find on the cd ( Celtic Legends ) - not includedPrinting quality very good - music notes very good readable.=> and I think it's also possible to replace the piano by a harp (flute - harp is also a beautiful combination)...I think I'm going to have much pleasure with this book!

Some good tunes for the flute player I reckon intermediate ++. The arrangement is awful too many long bar rests which are unnecessary. Imagine you the flutist playing a party piece and standing there like a lemon for 15 bars whilst the piano plays his/her part. You may as well go to the pub and tell your audience you’ll be back.

Für alle Musik Liebhaber ganz toll und relativ leicht nachzuspielen. Vielleicht die ein oder andere Tonart ändern. Ist aber nur nötig, wenn man es noch einfacher haben will.
