Q: How is the arch support in these? Is there enough room for custom orthotics?

I have narrow feet and also use rigid custom orthotics, and I found it near impossible to even get these shoes on. There is no tongue, so it’s like pushing your foot into an already laced up shoe. I sent them back.

Q: How is it made in the usa or imported? which is it?

I have wide feet and they fit me just fine. I've had several pairs and they last for years.

Q: How do these compare to Merrill Moab 2 hiking shoes? These are much more expensive so curious the difference.

I think it depends on what you are looking for. The Chameleon are one of my favorite shoes and I probably have owned a dozen pairs. They are my go to road-trip shoe very smooth on the inside, no seams to annoy you, no tongue get sideways. But if you are going hiking or walking on uneven ground where you need to snug up your shoes the Moab’s would be the way to go.
