Marino AvenueMio Marino Classic Ratchet Belt - Premium Leather - 1.38 Wide - Adjustable Buckle

I bought my first Mio Marino belt two or three years ago. The ratchet system works flawlessly, and the leather is high quality. I wear it often.So when I decided I needed a new black belt to go with a new suit I planned to wear when my wife and I went out to celebrate our 10th anniversary, I decided to buy another Mio Marino belt -- the one on this page. I placed my order, received it in two days, and then didn't bother to do anything with it. My anniversary was still several weeks away, and I wanted to wear it for the first time then.About a week before the date, I opened my belt. Both the buckle and the belt itself were beautiful. I cut it according to the instructions and tried to put it on another pair of dress pants. At that point I noticed the leather was quite thick. I could barely fit it through the belt loops once. (It's obviously thick in the image on this page; I just hadn't noticed or thought about it.) And after feeding the last few inches of the belt through the buckle, trying to tuck the end of the belt through the front belt loop was absolutely impossible.At this point, I had a choice. 1) I could let the end of the belt hang loose. But I don't like that look; I think it appears sloppy. 2) I could cut more off the other end of the belt, shortening it so that only a little of the belt extends past the buckle. Again, though, I think that looks odd. 3) I could buy another belt at a local department store. 4) I could contact Mio Marino.I chose #4. I found their contact information through their website and sent an e-mail. A day later I received a reply acknowledging that this particular belt is quite thick. The customer service representative offered me the chance to pick another of their belts, which the company would send me free of charge, or to receive a full refund. After making sure that I would receive the belt within two days (my anniversary was imminent), I chose the Marino Avenue Men’s Genuine Leather Ratchet Dress Belt with Linxx Buckle with the Chevron pattern.I placed the order. Another customer service representative responded with a tracking number, and thanked me for the opportunity to make the situation right. I offered to return the belt they replaced, but she told me to keep it. (It's a beautiful belt; maybe I could make it work with jeans.) My new belt arrived the day before I needed it, and all was well.I will be ordering from Mio Marino again.

I have had a few different styles of belts from this company. This is currently my go-to black belt. This is, without a doubt, the best belt company I've ever bought from. Beautiful designs, great pricing, excellent materials and durability and great customer support. They leaher they use looks like an art piece and holds soft and warp free. Dye does not wear away. Platings will last a long timeI had a belt that I had scratched bad and gotten JB Weld on which they discontinued. I got ahold of costumer support and within a day they were happily sending me a replacement.Nothing but good things to say from the four belts I've had, except that I didn't care for how one looked after I bought it.As awkward as belt compliments are (Why are your eyes not looking at my eyes?) I do get them fairly often.

It’s a nice-looking, sturdy belt, that appears to be quality leather. The release latch can be just a bit tricky, but I like that aspect. I previously had the ‘Click-it’ belt, with the buckle-lift release. Every time I bumped it on something, the belt would loosen. This one’s side latch is much more secure. The belt is also a little wider than my old one, but still fits my most narrow pants loops.Update 10/01/22:Apparently this is not as well-made as it looked. It appears to be thin leather, lining some sort of foam-like material. After only 10 weeks, I was simply pulling it around my waist, and the belt completely tore in half.

Love this belt because you can wear it with multiple dress pants and don't need to worry about the dreaded pair that happens to be in between two belt holes.Buckle looks great and seems well made.My only issue is that the ratchet section doesn't seem to be long enough. I cut the belt the first time and it seemed to work perfectly, with a nice range. After a month of wearing, there seemed to be a bit too much hanging out, so I cut around an inch off to allow it to be tucked in belt loop and look better. This looked much better, but now I seemed to have hit the end of the ratchet area as I now have to pull it much tighter than I did previously for it to attach at all. I am a 32" waist, so I'm on the smaller side, but so small where it should be an issue.I need a new belt because this one is essentially unwearable, but they don't sell just the leather. I can't seem to find a way to contact the seller about this, which is why I am writing this!

I've got 3 of these belts and they are the best belts I've ever had. I wear them every day and while they don't last forever, or at least the leather belt doesn't, the hardware probably will. I did have one that didn't last a full year and the leather started to separate, I emailed their warranty dept. and they quickly sent me a new one, I was impressed.I've gone through so many other belts that just don't last because they are so poorly constructed, so I'll be a customer for life!

I love this belt! It looks sharp, feels nice, is adjustable (see below), and is high quality. The only thing missing is a flyer showing how to work the clasp and how to shorten the belt.Unlike ordinary belts, there are no holes. Instead, the inside of the belt has an 23" strip of slots, placed about 1/4 inch apart. When you tighten the belt, you will hear a number of clicks. That's the buckle ratcheting across the slots, locking the belt in place! To release the belt, push out (away from you) on the little button on the bottom of the buckle. The belt end without the ratchet strip is marked in 1" intervals. Using the anchor teeth lever under the loop of the buckle, release and remove the buckle from the belt, cut to desired length, and re-attach the buckle. It sounds complicated, but its's easy once you've done it.Don't let all this keep you from buying this item. I've been buying belts for 50 years, and have never had one I liked better than this one.

This item arrived today so i thought I'd share my thoughts on it.The belt itself (i chose Brown) looks nice with a criss cross pattern on it and is soft and smooth to the touch.The automatic buckle is easy to operate and has a polished criss cross almost brushed steel look which looks quite good too.The inside of the belt itself has length markers so it can easily be cut to your size, i did cut mine down to a 40 to leave me room to expand if i happen to over do it at Christmas.Overall i would recommend this belt as it functions perfectly looks good and feels like a quality item.Oh and i bought this myself and not pushing the (i got this sent to me malarkey)Update:This belt has seen daily use since purchase and is as good as when i first used it.Well recommended

Genuine product with seal pack

My husband is really pleased with this belt. In fact he is so pleased he would like me to order another one with another beautiful buckle design which I am going to do. The leather is soft and feels it is of very good quality. I had previously returned one to another supplier as it was too heavy and the leather was so inferior to this one. The Belt was packed in a lovely box with clear instructions as how to shorten it if required. All in all an excellent purchase.

This is a substantial all-leather belt that can be adjusted in increments of 6mm at a time. The belt is 35mm wide and only just fits through the belt loops on some of my trousers but I don't have any trousers where the loops are actually too small. The buckle is beautifully made but somewhat heavier than I expected. It's not a particular problem but having reached the age where my waist is no longer obvious any belt tends to dip at the front rather than take the long way round and a heavy buckle doesn't help. The release lever is, of course, only on one edge of the buckle so if you want it to be on top then you have to pass the belt around your back from right to left. Do it the other way and of course the release lever is on the lower edge of the buckle. When the item arrives the belt itself is separate from the buckle. Of course fitting the two together is no problem at all but you can assume that any size specified is the length of the leather belt and not your waist size. If it's too long then you can cut it to length easily by trimming the end that you fix permanently (actually it is possible to remove it) into the buckle. I'm happy with it.
