Super case all around
I really love this case, enough that I got it for a second viola and got the violin model as well. It's sturdy, looks great without being over the top, and has a good amount of storage that you don't always get in oblong cases for viola. It's also not overly huge, a plus since I'm 5'1" and have been overwhelmed by cases in the past.I have a "fat-bottomed" 15.5" instrument that it accommodates when other cases require my going up a size and risking too much vertical length. My 16" violas fit it great as well. The shaping suits a range of forms. The ribbon ties are interesting, but I use one set to secure shoulder rests if I'm carrying more than one (and you CAN carry more than one in this case!) and use the other set to tie up the neck. The music pocket holds a good amount of folders and rigid portfolios and the balance is great whether using the shoulder strap or backpacking it.Since I don't always like schlepping my extra bow case I did make a modification to add two extra bows, which is possible with some careful measuring. I wish it had a string tube (I'll likely mod it to have that as well) and the same magnetic closures the violin version has, but those are just frills that aren't essential to its being a great case. I landed a good deal on it, but I'd say it's worth it at full price as well. I'm looking forward to getting a good many years from this case.

Worth the money!
So far the product seems very well made and looks just as beautiful in person. The only thing I did notice is that my sons 16inch viola actually has a lot of room / air space at the topwhere the scroll and pegs lay, left over, so it may jostle a bit but over all we are very satisfied with this product.

Liked it so much I purchased another one!
Great case! The first one I purchased for my 16inch viola, and when I later upgraded to a 16 3/8inch; the new one fit perfectly so I continued to use it. At first I wasn't sure about the ribbons rather than the velcro but they're not hard to work with at all. I've taken this case when traveling on an airline, it fit perfectly into the overhead compartment (I did get early boarding to make sure there'd be space for it.)Follow on: Two years later I installed a Kreddle extra tall chinrest and cushioned collarbone pad on my 16 3/8 inch viola then it didn't fit in my 16 inch case anymore. I ordered a new16.5 inch case hoping it would work but was very disappointed that it was not tall enough to accommodate the tall chinrest. And the extra padding on the bottom didn't leave space for the collarbone pad. I am sorry to have to return it because it still beautiful and sturdy and light enough for me to carry anywhere. Most people should be thrilled with this purchase and not hesitate to order.Second follow on: Another few years later, I downsized my viola and purchased this case again, my new 15 3/4" viola fits perfectly. The case is so nice and lightweight and has so much more storage than the Bobelock fiberglass case that I had been using. I'll keep the Bobelock as a spare, but the Paititi definitely fits my needs better as an everyday case.

A better home for my viola
So, I accidentally bought a fixer-upper viola with an old, ill-fitting wood coffin-style case. As I pieced the old viola back together I discovered it had a very agreeable voice. I figured it needed a nicer case than the old wooden one. After searching, I found this one as a warehouse deal. A great, sturdy case with plenty of storage, fits my chinrest conveniently and is VERY protective. I do have to place a cleaning cloth under the neck to make sure it’s supported at the heel of the neck instead of the scroll, but that’s not surprising as this case wasn’t custom made for a 105-year-old viola. Great buy, well-packed, and worth the money. I’d buy it again.

Worth it!
I love this case! I wasn’t expecting much because of the price but I’m glad I got it. Great quality, fits my 15.5inch viola perfectly and has room for my shoulder rest. It’s lightweight too which is exactly what I was looking for since I’m pregnant and needed something easy to carry while teaching. Only con is it didnt come with a carrying strap.

It’ll do the job
It’s a pretty case. I had to return the first one they sent because the hydrometer fell out, leaving a hole where it’s supposed to be. They sent a new case no problem. The case is pretty, but feels a little cheap. It will not stay open, even on a flat surface. That’s a little annoying. Also, what’s with the straps inside? There are 5 that make no sense. Why straps that need to be tied? Overall, it’s a nice case, but seems cheap with a few annoyances, but it’ll do.

the case is beautiful, hygrometer functional
I have returned this item. Pros: the case is beautiful, hygrometer functional, well made. Cons: not as light weight, costs $60 to ship it back if you decide not to keep it, very bulky, feels more like a suitcase rather then a fine instrument case. Also, the tip of the bow barely fits through the holding loop, it felt like the bow can easily snap if careful attention is not paid during puting in and out of the case. The main reason for return is how bulky it is and how I cannot picture myself hauling it around for the next 40 years. If it had wheels, it could be rolled and pulled, it is that long. Also, included straps are too short to use as a one strap from top of case to the end of it. If these issues are not a concern to you, this is really a lovely case, very pretty fabric, will probably last a while.
