Great product, very easy to install and very easy to maintain

Replacement for cameras on existing system. work well at all times, daylight quality is excellent. Installed by our electrician only because he's a perfectionist and the cables are therefore hidden and safe!

Love these cameras for their colour night vision, and that you have the choice of alarm sound with strobing lights or simply light come on, when PIR detects movement. Good range. Good quality vision day or night. Check your DVR if getting replacements, whether it's Ethernet lead connected, or twin power & cctv lead connectors. Upgraded my SWANN box and missed that observation.

Always buy these cameras -not too expensive-I already have the hhdrive so added a couple more -bought when a sale on -winner

They do what it says on the tin but the following observations may be useful.Colour is achieved by the camera having an inbuilt spotlight. This is bright, but obviously limited.If you are using the cameras where there is some ambient light, a street lamp in my case, they work well, colour picture and as much coverage as with my old IR emitting cameras.Also, if you are covering a small enclosed area, the light produced is sufficient to give effective night vision in colour.BUT, if there is pitch black, and you are trying to cover a bigger area the camera is limited. I changed cameras back to my older cameras to regain coverage.Also, if you are looking for a discrete camera in the dark, forget it - the automatic spotlight advertises the presence of the camera to all and sundry - (which, of course, you may desire!)I am yet to be able to measure the longevity of the night light.

Bought this to replace a Swann camera had it a while and no issues. Used the Swaan helpline for alternative replacement.

These cameras are not bad for internal cameras where you don’t need to see very far, but absolutely awful at seeing in the dark outside. They feel quite light as they are made of plastic but very well made like the others you can get that work with the Swann DVR 4680 Series of DVRs. The cable is nice and long which is great for routing around the house, but I wish the main cable wires connected straight into the camera instead of into a meter or so of trailing wire, then connecting to the main wire. Because of this you really don’t want these cameras to low down as people will just pull apart the cables. Not that this would stop anyone cutting them but every little helps. I have had other series of security systems in the past that are much better and clearer picture than this. They are not a bad price for a couple of HD cameras and from a reputable maker, but I would not recommend these for a serious security system. The picture is not good when you zoom in and I have mine pointed out the front of the house and can barely make out my number plate on the car on my drive let alone any car that comes up the road. I think the best feature of these cameras is the motion detection as it is activated by heat. My other cameras would constantly notify me every time a spider walks past but not with these, so I give them credit for that. The blue and red lights are bright and can be activated using the app but not as good as the ones you can get with the built in speaker to set off an alarm. There has not been any issues at all with rain effecting them. I just wish they were better for night vision, I’m not really that fussed about colour if it only works at close distance, but maybe that’s all you want these for.So in summery not bad security cameras but not great although would be good for a business that wants that extra deterrent with the flashing lights and colour night vision.
