Too much "magical" stuff and too spooky for me. But love Cathy Kelly as a writer
Love Maeve Binchy, read Cathy Kelly was similiar, found Cahy Kelly BETTER believe it or not. I set to reading as many of her books that I could find, to prolong the pleasure I was feeling from reading them.THIS BOOK not of them. First one of hers I read that I did not care for. It has lots of weirdness in it and a devastating death of one of the main characters, which is well written, but sad. I read to escape and don't enjoy reading about sad things, this character was well developed and beloved, so it was sad to read about for me. Was not crazy about all the magical thinking and "gifts," one of the characters possessed. Not really my cup of tea.

A Nice "Get Away" from reality
Just like the rest of her books, Cathy Kelly delivers a nice easy read. It starts out with multiple different story lines, but by the end of the book, she ties them all together wonderfully. While there is not alot of intense drama, there is enough of a storyline to keep you entertained. It is a perfect little escape from reality.

Great story
I loved following the lives of these interesting and creative people on their personal journeys through life. The thread of recovery fed through, which are the building blocks I use for living. I could relate so well and I enjoyed every word.

Not a classic Cathy Kelly sadly.
I am a massive fan of Cathy Kelly’s early works about ordinary, flawed people in relatable situations. I can read them over and over again. This wasn’t one of them. It started with a remarkable woman with exceptional talents and intuition and moved on to a remarkable department store stocked with exceptional products and run by a man with an almost uncanny eye for quality merchandise that lesser mortals might overlook. There was an exceptionally beautiful and clever tv journalist.... and then I lost interest and returned the Kindle purchase for a refund. I don’t want that sort of woman’s fiction fantasy from CK. I want humour and realistic situations and protagonists I can identify with.

An ok read
There were a lot of characters in this book and you needed to remember who was who. I have read a lot of Cathy Kelly books and found this one a bit disappointing. It didn't flow like her other books.

A great Cathy Lelly read
I love Cathy Kelly and it turned out that I'd already read this one, but as I couldn't remember how it panned out (being a 'woman of a certain age' which brings with it a loss of memory,) and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Cathy Kelly writes totally plausible characters and story lines that make you want to read the whole book at one sitting, and then wish there was more once you've finished.

Slow and tedious
Not her usual standard. Got very boring and repetitive. Too much swearing of the f-word as well.

Great storyline
Another great book from Cathy Kelly. The storyline draws you in and holds you right to the last page.
