My teeth look and feel much cleaner now.
Great quality toothbrush! My teeth look and feel much cleaner now. It can be charged about once a week, so it's easy to take it on a trip without the charger. I am very pleased this toothbrush.

Battery dies way too early!
I love this toothbrush! This is my third because after a few years the battery fails to charge. I called Oral B after the first one died and they sent me a new one free. I bought this one and had to send it back to Amazon because the Oral B box that held the toothbrush was so beat up. The outer box was perfect. What a disappointment when you need a new toothbrush! I could have gone to Walmart and saved $30. Really disappointing. But the toothbrush is amazing! I always get high marks at my dental cleaning.

Best toothbrush I've ever used
Funny to think that years ago we wouldn't have dreamed of having a computer built right into our toothbrush. I't just some bristles on the end of a plastic handle, right?I'd say it's hard to justify the price for this toothbrush, but to be honest I can't. To me it's worth every penny. The last visit to the dentist had the hygienist telling me that my gums looked better than the previous visit; that's enough to convince me that the extra tech that has gone into the iO 7 was worth the extra I had to pay to get it.It's quieter than the old Oral B Pro that I had, and leaves my teeth feeling a LOT cleaner. The brushing action has the familiar oscillation but also incorporates micro vibrations, which help remove anything that shouldn't be on the surface of your teeth. The accompanying app. (which you download onto the phone) helps encourage good brushing habits, and maps out your teeth into 6 different 'zones' monitoring the time spent on each, as well as brushing your tongue, rinsing, flossing, etc. I used the for the first few days, but sometimes you just want to brush your teeth and get it over with, ya know? The app. also awards you with medals for different behaviours, and I can see how having a simple reward system like that can also encourage good dental hygiene. The charging stand has been redesigned, and the 'peg' from the Pro charging stand has been removed, and a strong magnet built in to hold the brush upright and in place. This is a huge improvement, and results in a much cleaner charging stand (if you've used the Pro for any length of time you'll know what I mean!).The replacement heads aren't the cheapest, but replacing one every three months is not the end of the world for a healthy smile.I consider my money well spent.

Battery died in less than 3 years.
I. bought this $200 electric toothbrush less than 3 years ago. The battery has been steadily declining in the last year, but this month dropped precipitously. This morning it would not work at all even after sitting in the charger all night. Not a good investment! My Phillips Sonicare is still going strong after 8-10 years. The "drippiness" of the IO was a problem, but I did feel that it cleaned my teeth. With the heads at over $10 a pop, replacing them every 3 months per hygienist instructions, this results in a $300 investment, or over $100/year for the short life of the appliance.Buyer beware.

Fantastic toothbrush! Cleans my teeth from plaque like wonder.
I've been using my Series 7 toothbrush twice daily for the past 3.5 years. It still works like a clockwork.Previously, my dentist always frowned upon the plaque on my teeth on every visit - I used a regular toothbrush. But now that I've switched to this wonder, my dentist only gives me compliments and "keep up the good work" encouragements!

Feature rich, but are they needed?
I've had the Oral B Series 7 for 2 weeks now and haven't owned an electric toothbrush for 10 years prior to this one. A few features I enjoy are the pressure sensor, timer on the LED screen, the smiley face on the LED screen if you brush well, and the vibration that occurs after 30 seconds (by default) to let you know to move on to the next section of your mouth (4 section for 2 minutes). I haven't tried all of the modes other than the daily clean so I can't comment on that. The charger is nice and seems it'll be easy to clean as it's a flat surface with a small bump. The other chargers have a prong the toothbrush sits in which I know can be harder to clean around. One thing to note is the travel case doesn't charge, but the toothbrush should last a week anyways. The app seems gimmicky and is mostly useful for just syncing prior sessions to see how long you brush on average. They do have guided sessions on the app (which you have to open prior to brushing) and it will show you 6 regions of the mouth. Basically, you brush in that area until the region turns white and then move on to the next region. It's not always accurate as it sometimes thinks I'm on the opposite side, so I stopped using it after a handful of times. Plus, you can hold it on one tooth in that region and that would be enough to turn them all white... needs way more work to actually be useful. If you didn't have to have the app open to track the region brushing, then it could be interesting to look at after a month or so, but for now it's only good for seeing how long you brush on average (which will be 2 minutes if you follow the timer anyways, so the data won't be groundbreaking...)Overall, I'd say most people should just get the Oral B Smart 1500 (currently $70) instead of spending $170 like I did on the series 7.
