They test good with a tester that goes up to 600 actual volts. (used the 400 volt range) They are so much cheaper than the old oil filled can type that I had to try them. To be used as a replacement part for a motor speed circuit in older equipment.

These are bigger than the ones I need to replace in a bathroom exhaust fan. There’s a large plastic mounting tab I had to cut off. Sharp corners had to be filed to avoid damaging wires in a packed junction box. Shipping from overseas took a long time. Price is a bit high. Otherwise, they’re OK.

I really thought the pedestal fan was a goner, did a little research and comparisons and found these parts. BOOM, it works and after a few weeks still does. Texas, Hot, really freaken hot. Very grateful, great description and specs.

Electrolytic capacitors go bad over time, and 450V capacitors are somewhat rare. I believe these are film capacitors, and with a 450V AC rating, they should be good for 636V DC.
