When I ordered this dish for my birdbath, I didn't read carefully enough, and I thought I was getting a ceramic dish to add to the ceramic pedestal I already own. When it arrived, I was at first disappointed as it is a heavy-duty plastic. In the long run it has proven to be just what I needed. It looks like ceramic and goes very well with the ceramic pedestal. Since my dogs have already broken 2 ceramic dishes, I think this will prove to be more of a challenge. It looks great and was just the right size.

I use 2 for my 60+ lb tortoise, one for water one for food. He steps on it and it doesn’t break like the terra cotta one did.

its great for the money value but would be better if it was real terra cotta.

Use this as a water basin for the birds. Looks just like terra cotta but will not break & easy to clean.

very sturdy. This is not brittle plastic that easily cracks. But I ordered pot separately, same brand and same color. They are not the same color. But it will work.

I know these are a hard plastic but to me they look and feel like clay.. unfortunately it was too big for the planter I had purchased it for but hopefully I can use it under one of the larger clay pots on the deck.

My bird bath got a crack in it so I bought this for an insert, it is perfect! My little solar fountain works in it and the birds love it. I mean, that's all that matters as long as the birds like it :-)

I was looking to use as a birdfeeder. It fits my base perfectly and it will not break when the squirrels come by and tip it over. Happy overall with this product.
