One of the 3 jars were open upon delivery. And even worse, there was a black unknown stringy substance in jar and black in bubble wrap packaging?

I love making homemade sauce, my wife from Brooklyn and Italian has a real love for sauce... This is the one sauce that is loved by her whole family. Never knew much difference between all the other sauces but this one is very noticeable...

It was way too salty. I am hoping the pasta will suck up some of the salt. But I made a big batch and we are only using 1 cop of uncooked, unsalted pasta (now) for 2 of us. I will try to balance this by ladling out the sauce into a smaller sauce that an and cooking the uncooked penne pasta in that A huge disappointment!

The Kosher label on Barilla does not mean pure any more, what has happened is that clever workers at the Barilla factory now put pieces of savory sticks in to the mix so that people who buy the pure Marinara sauce find themselves wondering how those splinters got into the pure sauce in the first place. First person to explain this raise your hand.

Over the years I’ve tried many of the brands of marinara and pasta sauces that are on the market. I'm partial to the Barilla line and have been pleased with all their varieties, especially their marinara sauce. The Barilla marinara sauce is thick and tasty and adds zest and character to just about any pasta dish. I've used it in lasagna on many occasions and have been well-pleased with the result. Barilla sauces are generally a bit more expensive than some of the low-end pasta sauces, but they are much more affordable than the high-end. And in my estimation they taste just as good.
