Festool 482107 Guide Rail Connector

I am not giving this a bad review, only reviewing it for the Dewalt Track Saw Owners.It does work but I would highly not recommend it. There is just a tad bit of play in it and since you have to flip the track upside down to put this piece in, you cannot see how the track is aligned up top. And just when you think you have it perfect, lay it down on a straight edge and you'll see it will be bowed because the ends of most tracks are not perfect. I would not recommend joining the Dewalt tracks together with this piece, or at all. Just buy a longer track.Now with that said, this is a very nicely machined piece of metal and I'm sure it works as intended for Festool guides.

Works great on my Makita track saw track and seems like a better and stronger design than the actual Makita track joiner I already had. This is also less expensive than the Makita joiner I purchased. That's a real shocker because anything with the festool name on it is usually priced two to three times higher or more that similar tools or accessories from other companies. Because of that this is the only festool thing I own after 42+ years in finish carpentry and general construction.

You need two of these guide rails connectors and a long straight edge to connect 2 smaller guide rails into one longer length guide rail. This is a nice, more cost effective alternative if you already own two smaller guide rails, but want to make full length rips of sheet goods.

Work great with my Makita tracks, and they are cheaper than the Makita ones (shockingI know!). Buy two because they kind of suck if you use just one. Helps to find a small flat blade screwdriver and put it with them too- otherwise you will be chasing one down every time.

Accurate but pricey and needed to join the rails . I could not find information on weather two are required although one seems to work.

I bought this to piece together 2 dewalt tracks for the new flexvolt track saw. This worked like a charm. Of note, you only need 1 of these adapters for 2 dewalt tracks.

This works exactly as advertised and allowed me to not have to buy a longer track. You use two of these on the current generation of guide rails. I had no trouble getting the pieces to align and snug up everything tight. I'm not sure why others are having problems but perhaps they've managed to damage their guiderails at some point and this is just surfacing the problem.
