Pretty much mothballs in a vented can. Don’t worry so much about melting things (polyester clothing or plastic boxes), but smell just the same as mothballs. I expect they are just as effective; time will tell.

This product is most likely very effective, however I could not take the funeral parlor moth ball smell. I placed it in my closet in my bedroom and the smell kept me up all night, so sadly I had to throw these away. I am going to take another route to rid these clothing moths. Which is going to be vacuuming, washing every item of clothing, cleaning with vinegar, steaming and lavender sachets.

This product it’s great and don’t stink your clothes and kill moths from your closet.

I’ve never smelled anything so awful. You could smell it through the sealed package when it was still in the sealed box.

My wife bought these several years ago and when she died I became responsible for it. I went on line and bought more. It is simple to just put the refills in the container and hang it in the closet. You need to check them but they work well and are not messy and you use the metal holder over and over again.
