This is a great product!
Years ago I had a food saver and I gave up using it because I tried to seal some fish that happened to have liquid with it and it escaped the bag and got all inside the unit and made it stink. In hindsight I probably didn’t make the bag long enough. But I gave up on trying to clean it and never replaced it. Nowadays I have been tossing too much food in the bin because I don’t get around to eating it due to my busy schedule. I also have started smoking meats and cheeses and I would like to Start cooking ahead to save time in the evenings. I considered another food saver since they seem to be ever popular and I was amazed at the selection of different machines from a plethora of manufacturers, most of which I’d never even heard of available from Amazon. There was too much to choose from but I recognized the Inkbird name because they also make high quality meat thermometers for barbecuing and grilling enthusiasts. So I thought I would investigate further. This sealer has a lot of positive reviews and it just felt like the one I should take a chance on. The price is great on this machine but that wasn’t necessarily a factor for me, I just wanted something of quality that worked really well that I wouldn’t have to worry about the problem I had before with. It got delivered yesterday and the first thing that I sealed was a block of sharp cheddar cheese from the grocery that I smoked a week ago and wrapped in plastic wrap. So I sealed it with The Inkbird and I was impressed at how quickly and easily it worked. One feature that I really loved is the bag cutter. It makes for a convenient way to custom cut the size of your bags without having to haul out your kitchen scissors. I haven’t sealed anything with liquid in it yet but I think it’ll do a fine job with that. I also have to make the bag a little longer to give the liquid a place to go other than out of the bag. The price of this unit is extremely reasonable. It seems to be a high build quality and it’s solid. It has a detachable power cord and is small enough to be unobtrusive on your kitchen counter or easily stored if you don’t want to keep it out. I imagine that you could use any brand of freezer bag with it but I am the kind that likes to use the genuine accessories that’s supposed to be used for whatever it is. So I was happy to see that InkBird Also offers its own bags for its sealer but like I said I am sure that it will except other brands of bags as well as long as they fit properly (ask the manufacturer). I think it’s a good product for a small to medium household with a moderate amount of food sealing to do. I enthusiastically recommend this item!.

Really well designed sealer!
I am a home beer brewer and I have been using Inkbird devices for years.I have a couple of their ITC-308’s that I use to control the temperature in my fermentation chambers. I also have an Inkbird PID controller to regulate the heat exchanger for my multi decoction mash system with a 240 volt heating element. All of them function flawlessly.I buy hops in bulk for my brewing so, when my old vacuum sealer (brand name) stopped working I needed something to use to vac/seal and preserve my hops. I searched on Amazon for a food sealer and saw this one. Since I have had really good luck with other Inkbird products I ordered one of these.Out of the box it is a really well thought out device. The one that died was pretty wide and the bag, full of whatever you were sealing, would hang over the edge of the counter. The narrow width of this one makes it easy to use on a kitchen counter and I really like the top mounted cutter design. With the top mount cutter you can easily “measure” the bag size to seal because the cutter is placed about the same depth as the vacuum chamber and sealing element. You seal the open end and place whatever you want to seal in front of the sealer, then rotate the bag roll 180° and unroll the bag with the pre-sealed end over the steak or whatever you intend to vac/seal. Add a few inches of extra length over what you are sealing. Hold the roll over the device and use the top mounted cutter to get just the right size. I can already see I will waste a lot less money on expensive bags with this sealer just by getting the size right each time.Granted, I have only had it a little while but so far it works great, has really good design features and from a manufacturer I already know.

Money well spent- no more freezer burn
I was spending a lot of money on wasted freezer burnt meat and decided I needed a vacuum sealer. Most are very expensive so it took awhile to research for a moderately priced unit. This one worked very well out of the box. The bags supplied can be a little small but worked for most of my meats. I will say it takes a few tries to get the hang of using it. I had trouble at first shutting the lid. I heard one click and thought it was closed properly. I finally realized you need to hear two clicks on each side. I would also like the ability to clean the inside. I don’t know if any debris is getting into the vacuum area. The unit is compact and does not take up a lot of room to store. I also like that it comes with an extra gasket and attachment for containers which are sold separately. If you never used one before, it takes time to figure out what you should seal and what you should not bother sealing. I got too excited and started sealing everything from vegetables to cheese and everything in between. Well, don’t bother sealing mushrooms. It was suggested to freeze meat before sealing but I disagree, IMO, because some of the pre-frozen meat bags didn’t stay sealed after a few days but everything I sealed fresh, then froze, worked very well. No more freezer burn. And, the meat takes up less space and stacks nicely in the freezer. BTW, the bags are BPA free which was also a selling point for me.

Great unit, great price
This is my first vacuum sealer and I couldn't be happier with it so far. I had a large harvest of peppers from the garden and I needed to be able to store them for later use.For my first run, I did several bags of dried ancho chiles and a bag of roasted Anaheim chiles. I used the dry food function for the anchos and the wet food function for the Anaheims. Both worked great. The sealer came with five bags ready to use as well a roll of bags that can be cut to custom lengths. The cutter and sealing function worked great for the roll bags. The only issue I had was that I over dried the ancho chiles, and they were partially crushed during the vacuum sealing, which caused some sharp corners/edges, which then punctured the one of the bags. So user error, not an issue with the unit. In fact, the instructions have a helpful tips section that suggest wrapping sharp foods in a paper towel. Should have read that before starting. 😁Overall, very happy so far. It's super easy to use, suction power is great, and it's a fantastic value for the money.

Very good machine.
A great little machine. Draws down fast and seals perfectly. This model also works well with moist and soft content packing.

Don't Waste Your Money !!!!
Product worked fine for a few months. It comes with a one year warranty and after 10 months of occasional use it stopped sealing when using the vacuum and seal feature. I did everything they recommended on the troubleshooting page and it still didn't work. The only way to contact the manufactures is through an email because there's no phone number or address on their website. Attempted to do a return for an exchange and after filling out and submitting all the requested information it took me right back to the troubleshooting page which eventually directed me to fill out the very same form again. I guess it's like they say, "You get what you pay for"!! But I did expect it to last at least one year. Now I'm left with a bunch of food that I have to freeze the old fashioned way....Good Ole Freezer Bags !!! The only good thing I got from this is I'm glad I didn't buy it to give as a gift to someone I care about.Update: Per return/refund policy, you have to send the item back to the manufacture at your own expense. They will examine it to determine if it needs to be repaired or replaced. But.....wait for it.......the shipping address is in China. Why would anyone pay more to return a defected product than what it cost to purchase it? And why would Amazon agree to ship a product that their customers can't return to a US address? I've learned my lesson!!!

Well built, kept cookies fresh for a week
First I’d like to mention how pleasantly surprised I am with this Vacuum Sealer. I’ve always wondered if it was worth it to invest in a small device like this to vacuum seal my food. I’ve had this machine for about a week now and boy can I tell you this thing is a great bang for the buck.I started out vacuum sealing small things, like Oreo cookies and such, and whereas they usually go stale after a day, my cookies are still as fresh as when I first opened the bag! Crunchy, crisp, almost like new.I then figured why not try it on all sorts of other things. I vacuum sealed my cereal which works like a wonder since it already comes in a plastic bag. I’m generally a slow cereal eater anyways, and it usually takes me forever to finish 1 bag. Now I don’t have to worry about it going stale or bad ever again and I won’t feel guilty leaving it untouched in the cabinet. My favorite use for this product is that I can vacuum seal meat. I’m an avid meat smoker and a lot of times, any meat that has made contact with sir begins oxidizing. This vacuum seal prevents that and I’m able to separate my meat into portions and it just sucks all the air out and I can throw it in the freezer.Overall it’s very easy to use once you get it set up. It can look overwhelming at first, especially if you’re like me, and never used a vacuum sealer. But it’s quite simple, just place the food or whatever you’re trying to seal into a sealable bag, place it in the machine grooves, and it sucks out all the air, and seals the bag by heat. I would say if this continues to perform for at least a couple years (which it should, seems sturdy), then it’s well worth the money on groceries saved.

Powerful Vacuum Sealer with One Minor Design Flaw
Overall, I’m very pleased with it. It feels durable and well-built, yet it’s compact and portable enough to store easily or move around the kitchen. The vacuum power is impressive—it removes air effectively, creating a tight seal that helps keep food fresh and prevents freezer burn. It also has a sleek, modern appearance that looks great on the countertop. My only complaint is the height at which the bag has to be positioned in the machine before sealing. Because the sealing area sits fairly high, bags containing food or liquids can sometimes spill while you’re trying to line them up properly. It’s not a dealbreaker, but it does require extra care, especially when sealing soups, marinades, or other liquid-heavy foods.Aside from that design quirk, this vacuum sealer performs exceptionally well and has been a great addition to my kitchen. I’d definitely recommend it.

Efficient
It does what it says on the tin. Efficient operation, and does not require a whole lot of cupboard space.

I loved the product. This is my second Inkbird product and I'm growing more n more confident that this is a good brand. The vac is amazing, powerful and does the job very well. It's simple to use, very handy as well light weight. Storing things will be easy from now on without them getting spoilt. Thank you Inkbird.
