Saved my Nespresso machine from Craig's List
I was so close to getting rid of my Nespresso machine. Not because I didn't like it or the coffee, just the opposite. The machine was awesome and I really enjoyed the taste of the coffee. But more and more over time I've grown concerned over what was actually INSIDE the pods, and the lack of transparency from Nespresso. Coffee is one of the most widely contaminated products you can put into your body. Add to that the aluminum toxicity and you have a nice cocktail of questionable toxins potentially.Long story short, through a long process of elimination I realized that drinking Nespresso was causing memory loss and foggy brain. Thus, I was going to get rid of the machine and had stopped using it for over 2 months. But then my wife suggested I looked to see if anybody OTHER THAN Nespresso was making organic coffee pods. It had never occurred to me, so a quick search brought me here and based on the reviews I purchased this coffee. The flavor is very good, and different than was I was getting before. I'm not sure how, but it's very good. You still get the nice head of foam and I feel much better about what I'm drinking now. I probably drink 3-4 cups a day.Once I was happy with this purchase from amazon, I signed up on their website for their coffee subscription plan. You just can't beat the price and it's far better than what I was getting at Starbucks (and I do love Starbucks, but this is better). So for me it was a health decision. The cleaner you make your diet (which I have been doing over the last 5 years) the more things you realize effect you, and probably have been for years. But memory loss/foggy brain and no more and I drink more of this than I did of the regular Nespresso pods.Thank you Artizan Coffee Co.! You're doing a great thing, keep it up!

Great organic option for nespresso
Love my nespresso but they don't carry organic coffee. This blend is a good mid level roast (6 intensity) and works well in my latissimo pro. The price is the same which is great for organic coffee. Very pleased with my purchase. Would love to see more options in this level in futureEdit to my initial review:I have been using these pods for months and I know the packaging changed and have to wonder if the pod itself did too. Most of the time now water leaks back into the used capsule container and doesn't fill the cup as it used too. The tops seem to come off a majority of the time now and gets grounds in my coffee but mostly down the capsule container with the water that is supposed to be making coffee then the capsule gets stuck and the plastic breaks off when trying to remove from the machine.I am no longer pleased with these pods and am currently looking for another organic pod to try. Also, I tried to return the unopened package I have left and it is "uneligible" for return.

Doesn't puncture reliably, NOT a replacement for nespresso pods, Don't waste your money.
I was excited to try an alternative to the standard nespresso pods. Unfortunately, though artizan's coffee seems to be good, their pods are not reliable. You can't control the length of your shot, and most of the time get much less coffee than you should.Your nespresso machine allows you to use one of two preset shot lengths, espresso and lungo, or a manual shot length (start by pushing the button, stop by pushing it a second time). The manual shot length can be ristretto, or any length you please (up to a lungo). The machine then forces hot water through the pod under pressure for the length of time you've chosen. The characteristics of, for example, a ristretto and a lungo, are very different. Unfortunately, since Artizan's pods don't puncture reliably, much of the water isn't forced through the pod (and into your cup), but rather empties into your waste reservoir. See the attached photos of a lungo (original nespresso pod on the left, artizan pod on the right). The nespresso pod is punctured reliably, holds a seal, and all the water is forced through the pod. The artizan pod is not, does not hold a seal, and much of the water ends up in the waste reservoir. In addition to not having the amount of coffee you'd like, and not having the characteristics you want, you end up having to pull out your reservoir after each pod and empty it, to avoid overflowing onto the counter. It would be one thing if the artizan pods were consistent, but sometimes they'll take most of the water, and sometimes you'll try to pull a lungo and get less than a ristretto (or try to pull an espresso, and end up with half a ristretto). If you don't care how much coffee you get each time, like being surprised by what kind of shot you get, and like having to go through extra maintenance steps to prevent spills from the waste reservoir, this is probably for you. As far as I'm concerned, though, these are NOT nespresso compatible pods, since the key feature (push button espresso) doesn't work. The pods will fit your machine, but they won't do what they're supposed to do.Note: I contacted support about this. They told me to clean out the grounds and try keeping the pods in the freezer, so they would be more brittle and puncture more reliably. Cleaning out the grounds makes no sense (the grounds are in the pods, there is nothing to clean out). Keeping the pods in the freezer helped a little, but only if I banged the machine closed forcibly multiple times with the same pod.

Great quality coffee, could be stronger.
Good coffee alternative to nespresso caps. It isn't as strong as I normally like but it is a really good quality product, and organic which is a plus.My husband likes a strong coffee, and needs to use 3 pods to get a cup to his taste. Great taste though and they fit perfectly with my nespresso machine, which can't be said of all nespresso 'compatible' pods.

Meh
I really wanted an organic option for the nespresso machine, but these are just OK and, for the price, I would say not worth it. I wouldn't send it back if I were served this in a restaurant, but it is nowhere near the quality of real nespresso pods for flavor and texture. Real pods in the machine come out with a perfect crema, rich/complex flavor and a long finish...this is just kind of bitter coffee, a little watery, flat tasting and over roasted with no finish. It's not horrible, but unfortunately not very good either.
