Good product for the price!
Up front: I received this product as a promotion a week ago. This will in no way affect my judgement/review.I am not including photos of the endoscope and accessories as there are so many pictures here already. When I first opened the box I was surprised at the size of the screen, much larger than I expected. I was also surprised at the stiffness of the endoscope wire. As I worked with it, I found that the stiffness is a big plus at times and a hindrance at other times (mostly when attempting to rotate it for a better image). I also like the storage bag although I’m not sure how long it will last. Finally, I liked having pictures and videos saved to the micro SD card; this makes it very easy to transfer everything to may laptop.Things I was able to do:1. I retrieved a small screw from a laptop I’m working on. I was able to get it using the magnetic accessory with the spring like looking end (sorry, no picture of screw). I know I should have magnetic screwdrivers but I don’t, so this was great.2. I found a yellow highlighter under a bookcase (along with a lot of dust bunnies). I actually peered under all of the furniture we don’t move, looking for anything our grandchildren might have “lost”. That, in itself, is a great capability without bending much at our age 😊 (see pictures).3. I “fished” hair out of our shower drain with the hooklike accessory (see picture of accessory and drain).4. I looked down our dryer vent and saw that I might need to vacuum it out again, soon (see picture).5. I found an HDMI cable I’ve been looking for. It had slipped behind a very large bookcase in my office; having a “remote” camera with LED lights made finding it possible. The only thing I did not like were the orange buttons. Their functions are icons etched on them with no additional color (basically orange on orange). I basically had to memorize button position to use them because I couldn’t see the icons without direct light.I have never had a tool like this and very much like it! In my estimation, it will very quickly pay for itself. Not having had one before, this is a great tool for home use and I believe it seems sturdy enough to be used in the field by plumbers, electricians, etc. I would recommend it.

Makes annoying jobs fun
Very handy, useful, and simple to use. There is plenty of reach with the camera length (almost too much at times) and it will stay in the shape you make it. You can rotate screen view in menu so you don't need to hold the screen a certain way. Has 3 attachments (mirror, hook, magnet) and micro sd card (card needs a toothpick to push it in). Charges with usb cable, very short but no big deal. Lights on the camera end can turn down or off. Image quality seems good. Camera gets somewhat warm with extended use but continues working well. This was the second one amazon sent me and it works just as intended. I sent the first back since the camera would get too hot, go fuzzy and cut out. Turn off, cool down and it would work again for a few min. I noticed the lights were crooked around the camera too. Anyway the second one is great and as always amazon is the best with returns/replacements.Updated: I've used this a few more times since I first got it and it hasn't really helped as I had hoped. I put it down a tight area in a car and had a hard time making it go where I wanted and also seeing what I needed to see. The camera is still good but the light only extends so far and it really does just have too much cable to wrangle. It works best in areas where you can feed it in and it stays to place like inside small pipes, otherwise unless you can hold the end it tends to wander a bit. Using my phone camera/light or a small mirror still works best in most cases for me. Note: I also received this for free to review.

Inexpensive Endoscope Great for Inspecting Tight Areas
Was excited to finally get an endoscope to tackle a few at home projects. The unit is well made, and comes with plenty of accessories. Even an SD card! The build quality is really good for a $40 device, and the camera length is extremely generous. The cable is flexible, but will hold a shape for about 3-4 feet of the length. This is useful if you need to make a little periscope for checking vents like I did. It is limber enough however to feed through pipes of ducts. The screen is plenty good, and it's really the camera angle that can get a bit confusing at first. You can however, rotate the perspective easily in the menu which is nice. The UX is a bit clunky, and a touch screen would've given it 5 stars.I think the challenge of using an endoscope is that the LEDs on the tip aren't super bright. For example if you drop into an area larger than a square meter, you will have a hard time seeing beyond .5 meter away if its dark. The other way to help with this would be to have a camera with an adjustable ISO value in the menu. The other issue I had was that the focal length of the camera is about 4-5 inches. Anything shorter than that and it got blurry. This can be annoying if you are trying to inspect the sidewalls of say a combustion chamber.Overall this is a great value at $40, and I would recommend it for the home handyman. Bare in mind endoscopes are a tool that require some familiarity and are suited for specific applications. I look forward to having it in my home shop.
