Not Useful For Paint Mixing
This is not a typical color wheel that is used as a paint mixing guide. It will not show you what color you will achieve by adding other colors, white or black to a color, like a typical color wheel does. It may be useful as a guide to learn color theory or for selecting a color pallete to use, but it is misleading to say that it is for paint mixing. I was trying to replace my old standard color wheel that I ruined with paint splatters. That type of wheel was very useful to me. Also, the back side of this wheel that shows tones and shades barely shows any distinction on the cooler colors, so it just looks like a solid column of the same color. It is not worth the effort to return it, so I will just keep it and buy the other type somewhere else. As far as quality goes, this wheel is made of fairly sturdy cardboard that has a coating to resist staining, so that is not an issue.

Additional Color Wheel Spokes
On traditional color wheels, between a primary color like yellow and a secondary color like orange there is just one tertiary color: yellow-orange. But this wheel lists two tertiary colors, yellow-orange (which is a yellowish orange, i.e. more orange than yellow) and orange-yellow (which is an orange-ish yellow, i.e. more yellow than orange). Interesting! Also, this color wheel shows tints (the color with various amounts of white) on one side and tones (the color plus grey) and shades (the color plus black) on the other. Nothing new there, but what is new is the number of values (light and dark values) that are shown: 7 tints on one side, 7 tones/shades on the other. Very nice. I would like to see a color wheel that actually lists the tube colors (e.g. Cerulean blue, Cadmium red medium, etc.). And I would like to see a color wheel that shows tones that were created by mixing a color with its complementary color rather than with grey. But I find this color wheel very nice and I like the wider range of tints and tones that it displays.

Would have been a good tool.
I was going to use it to refresh my memory of the color palette. The substitute mail carrier was on the day it came, along with other things, and it was jammed into my mail box.

Arrived creased and bent
I was disappointed by the lack of packing, a lightweight cardstock item should have some protection other than a plastic bag before its shipped. It's a unique color wheel and I didn't want to go to the effort of sending it back and waiting for a replacement that would likely arrive in the same condition, so I flattened it the best I could and kept it. I really love how the colors are laid out on this wheel though.

Easy to use
Good color wheel. Could be a little thicker, but for someone with no color theory knowledge is very easy to use and understand. Very pleased.

Got 2 bent ones. Wish they'd mail with cardboard.
Sent back once because it was bent. They sent another with no cardboard or sturdy mailer to keep it from beding again, so now I have yet another bent one, worse than the first. Kind of mad because they aren't cheap and are meant to be used for ages, and the bend causes the shades of colors to be off. But I'm not sending back to get another bent one, so.... oh well.
