Seabiscuit: America's Legendary Racehorse [DVD]

Excellent and accurate account of a great and historic racing horse
This documentary was excellent in so many ways. So many movies and photos of the actual races and people involved. I have a slight connection to this story as my uncle was a trainer and jockey during this period and was involved for a time with Seabiscuit in the early years of his fame. I've seen the movies and they are fine, but I think this documentary presentation is the best of all. If you love horses, history, and classic track stories, by all means, take a break and watch this great video. It is so good you might want to revisit it from time to time.

Watch before you watch the actual movie
unless you've watched the movie Seabiscuit before. The reason I recommend this is this documentary contains real live footage of many races and different horses at the time and lots and lots of information about everyone involved with Seabiscuit including very interesting specifics about the two jockeys that is important to know. Highly recommended and very interesting.

Film beared little , if any resemblance to the plot or charecters in Jane Eyre.
Disappointed.Confusing plot that vaguely referred to Jane Eyre story and didn’t accurately follow facts. No suspense and didn't like the characters. No one to root for. I only watched it to the end to see a connection between Movie and it’s sequel. Pathetic attempt to prequel the Masterpiece. More sexual scenes than necessary.I wouldnt tecommend it to anyone

people who knew Seabiscuit here
It was interesting to hear from racetrack personnel who'd actually been around Seabiscuit, and the old footage was wonderful. A pleasure to watch if you like horses and racing.

Sorry it falls short...
I enjoyed the documentary, that being said I believe there was not an ending for several of the stakeholders in this film.

Educational
I will have to admit the story of anyone or anything beating the odds and overcoming all of the obstacles life can throw at you, always tugs at my heart strings. I wished there would have been more actual photos of Seabiscuit but there are still plenty of him to give the viewer a real look at this incredible horse. I highly recomend this documentary to all horse lovers, and to anyone that just loves an inspirational story.
