Baronessa Cali's Tarocco Skin Cleanser Sicilian Blood Orange Luxury Soap 8.8 Ounce – Pack of 2 - RSPO Certified Sustainable Palm Oil, EDTA-Free

Similar to what another reviewer mentioned, my discovery of Tarocco came from the serendipity of staying in a Hampton Inn where the soap was provided for guests. Short period of time, and a small bar, so while I was guardedly optimistic about how it felt, I needed a longer trial to see if it was just an illusion. But it passed the test with flying colors!I should provide some context for what I was seeking, and some of the other products I tried in my search. I have naturally oily skin that is also prone to allergic reactions to soaps and laundry detergents, which leads to rashes and itching. I need an exfoliating soap to keep my pores clean, but most soaps that do same also include moisturizers to sooth the skin after exfoliation. Those moisturizers routinely trigger my allergic reactions.Some of the previous products I tried, and my view of them, follows:(1) Marlowe Body Scrub Soap Bar - I liked this soap, but found using it every day was irritating. Went to a routine with two bars of soap in the shower, using the Marlowe every third day, and just some ordinary Irish Spring in between. Results were satisfactory once I established this pattern, but I got tired of having to have two bars in the shower and continued searching.(2) Barrel and Oak Bourbon Cedar - Another pretty nice product with less irritating exfoliation permitting daily usage, but leaving moisturizers on my skin that triggered a mild version of the allergic reactions I mentioned above. So search continued.(3) O Naturals Dead Sea Mud & Clay Soap - Less residue on the skin, but not quite as good at exfoliation as the above two. I settled on using this for some time while continuing my search as the least objectionable.(4) Marie Originals Itch Relief Soap Body Wash Bar - a really nice product, but comes in a small bar that despite attempts to keep it from sitting in water simply melts away too rapidly to be a cost effective soap for daily showering, at least to me.Quite the opposite situation with the Baronessa Cali Tarocco soap, esp. if you buy the cost effective two pack of 8.8 oz. bars. Some may find a bar this size awkward to handle in the shower. If so, cutting them in half brings them back to normal bar size. You can buy smaller bars in six packs, but the price is almost double per ounce. As to some of the other comments on the product, those finding the exfoliation too rough I suspect have really sensitive skin, and perhaps inclined towards the dry side. Don't know. This soap exfoliates, rinses cleaner feeling than any soap I've ever used, yet doesn't leave my skin feeling either dried out or slick. The fragrance is mild and pleasant. Feels like a total win.

I ran across this soap at a very nice hotel that I stayed at. I found that this worked very well in helping my acne. I wanted to get some more for home, and found it here.The good: The scent is identical, and this bar does not have the exfoliates in it, which is exactly what I wanted. It builds suds quite nicely, cleans & moisturizes as I would expect. It's also a much bigger bar than the one I got at the hotel.The one call out: The soap box is a little powdery. I wiped it down with a wet paper towel to find it was basically from the soap bar itself. That leads me to think maybe the bar were a little older, and not brand new. The ones I got at the hotel do not have that issue, albeit the bars are smaller.

i PREFER THEIR SOAP WITH THE SCRUBBERS. SEEMS LIKE THE SOAP IS THE SAME THIS JUST DOESN'T HAVE THE SCRUBERS. i AM ADDICTED TO THE BLOOD ORANGE SCENT

Kind of awkward to hold because of the size of it but nice smell and no exfoliates like their other bars, don't like the scratching of the exfoliates.

A great find. Long lasting unique scent.
