Just get it. It’s so worth the price
Bought for my best friend who recently lost her husband suddenly. This is by far my favorite gift I’ve given her. The prompts and helpful advice are well put and phrased perfectly for adults 🙌 It’s refreshing to find an interactive journal that’s not all Mr Rogersy…no offense to the guy! He’s great but sometimes you need a bit more than hugs and high fives 😆

Love this as a gift for friends who lose someone
This book was bought for a friend of mine who lost her dad and she loved it. It’s funny and helps you process grief without pretending you’re not angry!

Worked as a group project for us
I ordered this about 9mths after the death and it took about 3mths to complete. Every few days either my husband or I would read a page or three and then we'd take turns giving our responses. I'm sure it wasn't meant to be a group project, but this worked for us. We both found the workbook helpful and it brought to light a lot of feelings that hadn't been considered and heavy discussions.

Useful, not pushy. The book and the workbook - solid set.Been working on mine for a few years. It really helped me through the first few months though. I dunno... It's a things. It might help. It's not preachy. If you've experienced a loss and nothing about it seems fair to you, this book won't feed you fortune cookie comfort, but the book and the workbook are good tools to have on hand when all you want to do is fight back against something that can't be changed.

Great help!
I just lost my mom a few weeks ago and I am too stubborn to seek therapy because my grief doesn't need that deep help. This so far has been helpful. I think there is a book to go along with it but I haven't read it yet.

I’m glad this was written
If you’re buying or looking at this either you either have recently lost someone, or not recently and are still struggling or someone you care for is. Grieving is hard, there’s no set ways to deal with it, it’s not linear and doesn’t have a set end date.I lost my dad suddenly last summer and he was the only bio family person I had a relationship with. My chosen family did what they could to support me but I know they felt lost because I did.I tried several books as well as online support groups but still felt so stuck and really just angry. This book and the way it’s written really helps the anger part. I felt seen.I hope if you get this book it helps in someway and I’m sorry you’re even having to consider buying it.

Perfect
This workbook is perfect. Each section starts overly simple. Almost laughable. Then it leads in a way to make the person completing it to realize their feelings on their own. It subtly breaks down walls and barriers we all put up in grief.I got 3 copies. 1 for me because I lost my grandma, who I was very close with, 3 years ago. I got a copy each for my husband and brother in law because they lost their mom 21 years and never took the time to cope. Their experience was extremely traumatic. My husband is younger and was 13 when she passed away from a heart attack in her sleep. They both performed CPR despite the fact it wouldn't have changed anything. Due to the trauma, they never took the time to heal properly. So far my husband has started working on it today and was crying because of all the unresolved and unrealized emotions. Already he says he is starting to feel progress in working through those emotions.I highly recommend this book to anyone coping with lose no matter how long ago...
