I first started wearing hats only about 6 years ago. I had moved down south and ran across a beautiful dark green straw hat by Fiesta- Santa Barbara while thrift-store shopping. I soon got another straw hat, by Jeanne Simmons (here on Amazon) similarly styled in a wheat color. I discovered they kept the sun out of my eyes much better than glasses.This style I found, which most suits me, is generally called a Gambler, or Rancher.Back up north, winters require something other than straw. I got a lovely crushable wool felt Stetson in Silverbelly. It's not an everyday hat being of such a light color (black is too dark, dominant for my wardrobe). So I decided to look for a leather hat. One that I could wear 'everyday', every where. Any where. All the time (another reviewer said just that of this hat, in so many words).I ordered it just a few days ago. And was really excited to see if I did infact find 'my hat'. It arrived in a bag, but made it's journey unscathed nonetheless! I wasn't crazy about the wire on the edge of the brim. But the leather is very thick and heavy duty, so it's part of this very structured hat. It's not so Polly-perfect that it requires babying, which is what I was looking for- everyday, everywhere. I love it!This style hat does come in a black. I prefer the dark chocolate, as it goes well with black, brown, grey and isn't as dominant or dark. I ordered a size small, as I measure under 22". It fits as expected. It's a good fit. I have included several pictures and hope the details help aid you in your decision-making.The price was reasonable, $65. I wouldn't have wanted to pay much more. I'm happy with it and excited to have it! I also like the hat band / chin strap. None of my other hats have this functional feature. This integrated band/decorative and chin strap/functional design really help to sink this hat into it's all-purpose beauty! I (will) wear it to the back, and when needed appreciate having it.I've included pics of the Stetson Black Hawk, just for reference. The two serve different functions, yet are essentially the same, or similarly styled.

I use this hat everyday! Most people love it, maybe 5% will clown you, but that’s because they are to stupid to realize a god of a cowboy hat lol. Was looking for a good cowboy hat to cover my stupid head yet one that I didn’t feel obligated to baby on the ranch while waiting to hang glide. I’ve done everything in it from buying my first car to kayaking down the Wekiva River. It works in numerous settings and I’m constantly getting compliments or comments about how I look like Arthur Morgan. There are two things to note tho, the strings and how it fits. It comes with a string to keep it attached. DO NOT get rid of it. I decided to tie mine off around the top which is what I recommend. This way god forbid I need to tie it to my head in a pinch I can lol. The second thing is the shaping of the hat. At first it’s very stiff, begin shaping it how you like it. I pulled the sides up, made indentations, curved the front to better suit my needs. If you live in the south/south west (or anywhere with heat about 85) this hat WILL melt. As long as you wear it while it happens it will be fine. It becomes like puddy because it’s real leather. If you put it on your dash in the heat, it will melt and all the shaping progress will go out the window. When it’s puddy it’s even more comfortable but beware of reshaping. It went from curled as I stated I shaped it to wide brimmed again in 5 minutes in the Florida heat. No matter what you do it looks great! Its a cowboy hat for someone who wears the damn hat and isn’t looking to them for fashion. It isn’t the prettiest but she gets the job done each and every time. GET THIS HAT!

I love this hat. It was a little big but the sweat flap was able to pack out to help the fit

I ordered a size small, but received a size large. I bought it for my 12 year old grandson, and he loves it even though it’s way too big for him. I offered to return it for the correct size, but he won’t part with it! The style is exactly what he wanted…I only wish it fit him. Since he lives in another state, I can’t measure it.

I tried other hats but my melon is too big for most hats.....(big brain big head heaehaeh). Seriously though, this hat sits just right and looks nice. I am pleased with my purchase.

Slightly disappointed. The crown looks to be about 1” shorter than is pictured. Wish I had noticed it right away I would have sent it back.

I’m a contractor so I do a ton of outside work, this hat is the only one that’s help up through the season and kept my face and neck from getting burnt to a crisp.Not to mention is looks just like Arthur Morgan’s hat from RDR2. If your considering it, definitely do it

0 stars at best. The hat has creases, was poorly packed, has sticker residue on it, does not have a hat band as appears in the photo. Way to small. It has holes in it. Its like a toy Halloween costume hat. The stitch work is awful. The brim is bent and mis-shaped. This hates is absolutely disgusting and insulting and the seller should be ashamed of this hat. NOT RECOMMENDED!
